I always like to show people something a Christian friend once noticed while arguing with a feminist. Proverbs 31 is the wisdom of a king about the ideal wife--the virtuous wife--as taught to him by his own mother. It's really something else on its own but especially when considering this was thousands of years ago. The point is, the "virtuous wife" is shown to be diligent, independent, faithful, wholly respectful and "submissive" (not in a BDSM way) to her husband while also having her own things (businesses, finance) too, always places family first, is neighborly, etc. etc.
