If that's how things work, why does the Indonesia branch have so much few subs. Why did the Chinese Branch make Cover lose money? Why is Nijisanji IN such an absolute shitshow?
They don't get any love or promotion. I would be remiss if I thought nobody had any talent whatsoever (which is vshojo's shtick from the looks of it) but any of the non japan branches seem dreadfully abandoned.

To be fair to the IDs, I only started watching them the other day and I was surprised how good their English was, subbed to them all now, they definitely deserve more recognition than they're getting.
ID was basically EN before EN. Depends on the girl, but Risu and as far as i can tell Moona hardly ever use indonesian for full streams. I took a quick glance at Iofi's channel and she has a lot more indonesian titles.

Interestingly gen 2 seems to really have taken the trilingual route, and insist on using all three languages for most streams. I wonder if they'll keep that. It turned me off a bit, to be honest.

I feel like her choice of words implies there was a bit more in there than just another dig at those people.

I don't know, I'm bad at analyzing songs, either wait for a Calli Genius video or for Salte to come in and decypher the lyrics frame by frame.
HoloEN's rapid succes comes to mind. I think it's just a diss against haters of ENs and other branches alike who said they're just successful because they're leeching off the main branch, like Keeki or Moona

Hololive is still a gig after all, ID spergs can't send them akasupa cause regulations and all that, so they pander to those who do. It really does feel like it's just HoloEN with ID voice dlc at times though, not that it's a problem really.

IT BEGINS

Betting on literally nothing gonna be produced

She's right though. IT IS expensive to make content as a streamer. The rig ain't cheap, the models ain't cheap, the games...well, not everybody is into minesweeper stream so that will cost money too. So maybe make a proper budgeting plan first before trying to hype yourself up, see if this hobby/side-gig is financially viable first? Maybe try having actual job first? Maybe all of that is what should be TBA on your life instead just hanging around twitter hating on people who just doing an honest day work.

"It costs me $300 to produce a MV"

Retards missing the point. It costs Calli nothing because she makes them herself, paying other people to produce stuff for you isn't creating content.

Sure models, rigging etc aren't free, and you probably don't have the ability to make them yourself since it's kinda niche, but that's like complaining you can't stream videogames because your PC isn't good enough. Everything has a financial barrier to entry.

Two things on new song:
-damn, girls be working hard if it causes her such derierre ache
-management gave this a green light. Where was the "days without drama" sign again?

_______
She's right though.
If you want to be a plumber you need a plunger, if you wanna be a teacher you need study materials, if you wanna be a wood carver you need shitton of tools.
This applies for pretty much anything.
Moot point.

For the first person. If its too expensive for you to do it, then don't do it. If you wanna make an account for the @ then do it. But don't start advertising and putting yourself out there until you're actually ready.

As for the second one, yes, just make content. You don't need an actual live2D. Literally just use a still image until you can get one. No one is expecting an MV. Just stream or record a song and just put the lyrics in a video using very basic editing software.

How to archive a twitter thread again? I found some other hot takes, the usual suspects, of course
If you were busting ass and making content for 5+ years on different platforms, why would you get butthurt over Calli calling out people for "NOT MAKING CONTENT"

Do these people have basic reading comprehension?

I can taste the salt from over thes screen already
The first one is hilarious since all their arguments can be debunked in no time
Seems easy enough, I'm assuming Sachiowo and Senzawa paid for their rigs themselves long before joining Hololive and I'm pretty sure I remember hearing that Ame did the opening for Kiara's Holotalk so she knows some art/animation software stuff as well. Keekihime paid for her music videos to be filmed and Demondice either paid or probably does all the work herself for her music videos. Either pirate or use opensource software , learn it and make your content. Hololive is seemly not known for hiring talent with no history of actually producing content. Find the money somehow, $300 ain't shit unless you don't work at all.

What makes this so ironic is that each of them had careers as content creators prior to the corporate backing. I mean hell, Amelia and Gura had rigs out of pocket.

I mean, the money issue is fair, but at the end of the day putting your own flavor and spin on the content you make is what really makes you stand out. Money helps but it's not the end all be all. Effort, inspiration and creativity are worth more, in my opinion. Not very different from regular streamers or youtubers.

If she ends up actually releasing a response rap, then Calli's song achieved it's purpose.
