Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Why do people keep electing people named wiener. It's never a good sign and the scandals these people are involved with typically always involves male genitalia.
Easy. They want the D.

Long covid is going to be the next big munchie trend, calling it now.
Worst part is, post-viral fatigue is a real thing that can be caused by any viral infection, including common colds. It is a fucking nightmare to live with and can go on for years. Everyone claiming that they've got "long covid" because they're a bit tired is going to make life miserable for people who already have a real problem.

maybe nineish years ago I got a nasty viral infection that went on my chest. Not quite pneumonia, but nasty all the same. I spent the following year with chronic exhaustion. I was working as a sparky at the time and went from being able to blast through a working day, and still have hours of energy at home, to literally only working and sleeping. Godawful. I got over it eventually and now I'm back to having a nice, normal life.

I would bet most of these suckers would use it as an excuse to quit work and suck on the givernment's tit for the rest of their sad existence.

There was some program on yesterday, heard it in the background, don't know if it was a Sunday morning segment or a dedicated half-hour but they were talking about people who died and the families they left behind. First thought is usually "oh, must be soldiers or first responders, maybe in infomercial for a charity or something." then, in a heartbeat, remembering the world we live in now "oh yeah, gonna pull the heartstrings, it's an emotional hitpiece." It was a full-on assault of guilt-tripping over Covid. "This child was ORPHANED (literally, yes, they pulled that out) by COVID!!"

Disgusting. I'd rather hear the shopping channels hawking their cheap shit and lie to my face than watch the snakes on the news or news-like programming. I have more respect for the former than the latter.

Children get orphaned by car accidents and the flu. It sucks and it's tragic but it happens.

It's fascinating how much criticism Andrew Cuomo has received recently from media sources that were previously quite friendly to him.
It's cause the orange man is out of office so there's less of a need to shine a light on rebelling against "the ebil Republikkkan"

Boy oh boy, I feel a cucking coming

Sorry if it was already mentionned here or in an other thread. But to see some terrorists at Guantanamo having some vaccines, I.m torn between being angry because they'll be vaccinated before people who urgently need it or saying good riddence if they are lab rats and/or guinea pigs and die from the vaccine.

I really don't have a problem with it. Lock a guy up and prevent him from managing his own risk/treatment, You're the one responsible for doing it now. Don't like it? Either take the heat for vaccinating them or cut them loose and let them see to themselves.

It's a shit sandwich either way. Question is how many bits of corn do you get in it?

I know this sounds horrible but if the South African strain spreads to epidemic levels in the US and the current vaccines do not work, I kindda want to see how Biden will handle it.

It is because the he has been unofficially cast from the Democrat party. Too much Covid baggage for future office. His last hope was a spot in the Biden administration but that has come and gone.

In essence, he is like an executive in Japan that fucked up royally. Sure, you might not be fired but you are quietly transfered to a corner office and put in charge of a redundant department full of retards.

BREAKING NEWS FROM THE CARMEL PINE CONE

February 1, 2021, 1:05 p.m.

CHOMP ANNOUNCES VACCINE CLINICS FOR PUBLIC

• 75-plus, healthcare workers gain another option

This afternoon Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula and its parent company Montage Health announced the launch of two Covid-19 vaccination clinic locations for the public.

"The clinics, one located at Community Hospital in Monterey and the other at Montage Wellness Center in Marina, have the capacity to vaccinate up to 7,500 community members each week. Vaccination appointments will be dependent on the supply received from Monterey County Health Department each week," a statement from the company said.

The first clinics — for those 75 and older and for healthcare workers — will be held at Community Hospital on February 4 and 5 by appointment only and only for those receiving a first dose, hospital spokesperson Monica Sciuto said, with additional clinics planned in the coming weeks.

Residents of Monterey County can make appointments on a first-come, first-serve basis at www.chomp.org/vaccine or at www.chomp.org/CovidVaccine. Everyone will have to prove their age or healthcare employment upon arrival at the vaccination sites, the hospital said.(I won't need to prove shit, since I'm not getting the vaccine. They can bite my crank. - JS)

"Community Hospital expects that the clinics will fill up quickly due to high demand and low vaccine supply and encourages people to check back often as additional clinic days are scheduled. Also, those who receive a first dose must receive a second dose, so eventually half the clinics will be dedicated to those receiving their second dose," Sciuto said.

This appointment availability is separate from the county's vaccination appointment site, which can be found here.

Oh, this morning was in line to go into the bank. Not wearing a mask. This guy says I'll need a mask to go in. Told him I put on the mask when I go in. Dude tells me I'm part of the problem. Told him the problems were in Sacramento (state capital) and county seat (Salinas). Dude agreed. Brought up more stuff, such as the uselessness of masks, lack of trust in government, etc. Dude agreed with me right down the line, said I stood up for what I believed in. "Sure do." Asked him if he had confidence in government to do the right thing any more. No. I haven't talked to one single person that believes government will do the right thing. I put on my mask when entering the bank.

It sounds like the first segment on 60 Minutes since the preview I read mentioned people who lost someone to the virus. Will they do a segment of people who lost someone from suicide because of the lockdowns?

I think Cuomo will never admit but he miss Trump just for finding someone else to blame. Time for this meme to be more popular.:story:
Unironically, I think they realized they screwed up by banning him from everywhere. Sure, you can still find some platforms grifting the "muh Trump!!!" angle, but it's only been a couple of weeks since Trump left office. Since Trump is really off the scene without Twitter or anything, there's this vacuum of new Trump info or news. We saw it with the GME stuff, where they wanted to blame le ebil orange man, but there were no easy Trump tweets to embed in an article or something to shift the narrative. Suddenly, journalists (read: traitors to the country) realize they might have to produce actual news to be taken seriously. And all the while, Trump's star rises among his base since he's only a memory and not actively screwing anything up.
