I don't think she's truly bi; I don't think a lot of people are. I think a lot of "bi" women can't tell the difference between "I find women physically attractive" and "I find a relationship with women romantically and sexually fulfilling." Too many straight women who always date and marry men are claiming to be bi because of this. Women tend to be physically pleasing to the eye, it doesn't mean you want to fuck them or be with them for life.

I understand why a lot of lesbians (and others) think of bisexual people as a joke. Because of people in the above category.

The Japanese have terms that refer to people so attractive they appeal to both sexes. Doesn't mean that just because the same sex finds them attractive that they are all of a sudden gay or Bi or whatever, just that its difficult to not find them pleasing to the eye.

Quite a few westerners seem to have forgotten this difference between romantic and aesthetic attraction.
