Lumping conditions like that in with "intersex" is nonsensical, but it inflates the numbers and makes it seem like being intersex is relatively common.

edit: I guess I should clarify that medicine does not classify hypospadias (on its own) as an intersex condition. However that doesn't stop people from including it, and similar conditions, in lists of intersex conditions and using these cases to inflate the numbers to argue that intersex conditions are super common (hypospadias occurs in around 0.5% of babies, which extremely common compared to actual intersex conditions).
