I disagree, CDPR was hedging all their bets on CP 2077 sink or swim given the pre-release marketing blitz. This is their only game in what, five years? I'm sure they have other projects in the design stage but what else do they have going for them right now? GOG: the platform that's so popular it only makes 8k USD in profit a year? Another Witcher title, a game that's, at best, another five years away? Gwent 2? Nah, they got their undercooked Thanksgiving turkey in CP 2077 and they have to work with what they got. In my opinion they'll push out the DLC and GOTY edition because they can't afford to do anything else, customer base or not.

So I've done a bit of reading and lurking about this situation because I get fucking pissed when someone tries to tell me what I can do with my own files on my computer on a single player game. I was silently simmering about it all day.

Apparently the mod that was removed was this one by camtino on Nexus Mods titled Model Swaps - Judy - Panam etc

Camtino released an edited version of the mod that doesn't include, in my opinion, the best swaps. The modder includes a really fucking long statement about the situation that basically says he was asked by CDPR "nicely" to remove a portion of the original mod, and a bunch of other feel-good shit about not hurting actor's feelings or w/e:

As you probably know by now - the previous version of this mod was removed (not by CDPR nor Nexus Mods, but by me - so do not blame either of them for the removal of the entire mod) after CDPR approached me and nicely asked to remove only a part of the original mod. The reason was that there was one questionable part of it which included models that resemble real life people (specifically, the model of Johnny Silverhand), which should have been avoided in the first place - and my mistake was listening to the requests and including some model swaps that were not supposed to be in the mod originally. And I hereby also apologize (specifically to mr. Keanu Reeves) for not thinking this through at that time - but instead doing what the community asked for. The intentions of the mod have never been to do any harm to anybody - in any possible way, nor to disrespect anybody.

I decided to take down the older version of the mod as a whole in order to prevent possible further misuse, especially as I had a full written out guide on how to swap out any of the two in-game characters, and I had no real way of preventing people from swapping out characters that are not meant to be swapped out. So at the time, it seemed as a best idea to remove it as a whole until I get more details from the CDPR - when the media started blowing up with articles while not having a lot of info on what was going on, nor what the mod has been to begin with.

Either way, as everything has been talked out since, and I have been green-lit to re-upload the rest of my mod. I am re-uploading my mod which includes fully swapping out Panam and Judy, random swaps between Fingers, Dex, Sasquatch, Smasher, T-bug, 8ug8ear, Delamain, basilisk, and more to come.

Although, if you are planning to use the modded files of this mod as an example to swap out other characters, I am leaving this message, as suggested by CDPR:

"Please remember that as you are using and creating content with this mod, you should always follow the rules specified in Cyberpunk 2077 License Agreement and Fan Content Guidelines of CD PROJEKT RED. One of the most important of those rules is that user-generated content cannot be harmful towards others. Considering that this mod could allow you to swap models of real people, please refrain from using them in any situation that might be found offensive, unless you have an explicit permission from a particular person."

So please abide to that and do not create any questionable content by using this mod's files as an example - after all, mods are here to create more fun content for the players, not to do any form of harm to anybody. Also, as a way to further prevent it from happening, I will not be rewriting a guide on how to do model swaps manually - if you want some of them to happen and have no will to learn it yourself, please be nice and wait until I have enough time to swap them out, although, I will ignore any questionable requests.

I saw some people speculating that it was Keanu Reeve's legal team that pressured CD Projekt Red into telling the modder to remove portions of their mod.

I managed to grab a 720p version of the Johnny Silverhand (Keanu Reeves) model swap sex scene from Youtube that will likely be removed soon. It's literally not that big of a fucking deal; you can't see shit, and he has another character's voice:



Does anyone have the original mod, or know where to find it, for archive purposes? lol. I didn't even know this mod existed, but frankly, when someone tells me I can't have a mod, I really fucking want it.

i guess you could say the game is a writing masterpiece but it's well-written at best in the same way you write well a turkey filling, shit, ME:A is more well written than cyberjank.

there's lotsa dialogue and conversation choices, thing is you can't tell a niffa to fuck off permanently, declining their offers usually ends up with "gib me a call if you change your mind" and picking the quicktime dialogues only change what the character will say as filler but they still run their dialogue normally, for instance: i nominated the doll bitch to run clouds, judy got bitchy and said i was a dirty merc for accepting her payment, reloaded the save and didn't get the monei, she still got pissy because the doll bitch is a bitch and left NC while blocking my contact, the butch slut... while on the other save by killing the doll bitch the dragons will come back and steamroll the dolls, making judy sad so you'll go to the diving quest to have some gay lesbian sex if you choose it if you don't then V will go to sleep and will wake up naked (wtf???), one thing i've also noticed is that some dialogues can't be skipped at all, i wanted so hard to skip the alt/jhonny fuck scene because i've seen then on mah first playthru but couldn't, don't they know it's pratically a sin to make a unskippable cutscene/dialogue? sure things are subjective to personal taste but i rate this game jank/10.

they also made the intro mini-movie where you move in with jackie and do shit to get your apartment a literal filler, THEY COULDA MADE THEM QUESTS but instead made them like a fast-forward movie...

the glitches are what kept me playing it, the game itself whenever i got on a car felt dead AF because they despawn as to not rub shit on the shitty driving, peds were being cloned every now and then and i can swear the old lady with a bright blue top can be at multiple places at the same time....

oh and 1.10+ breaks save based on old versions for some stupid reason (polack jank), if you start a new game takemura will not glitch, if you use a old save then he will be likely to glitch if you do certain steps.
 
After 170 hours the only part of the game I would say is ok is the ingame radio. There are a few tracks ive ripped from youtube and added to my main playlist, mostly the ones that weren't touched by konrad oldmoney (who was born with a polish last name so i don't blame him on changing it, even if its somewhat trashy) who seems to have had a major part in almost the entirety of the two rap stations.

Damn this thread has slowed the fuck down. Normally they'd release hotfix after hotfix, desperately trying to fix it. But I've got this feeling they're ditching it like a two dollar whore rather than spend money on it.

Do they have any money from this game after refunds and lawsuit costs? I am certain this is a "put all the eggs in one basket" scenario and it blew up in their faces. If investors are suing and they are not getting returns from sales, I don't think they can pay grunts to patch this shit to a playable state.

Now even the Polish government is allegedly investigating Cyberpunk 2077 (warning: destructoid)

i'd say if they strike CDPR with something then we can call it quits, investors class action and refunds can only go so far from the 3M the govt paid them.

They are fucked. Even if all the lawsuits and government investigations go nowhere, how much will it still cost them to defend themselves? I think they are done. Watch them end up like Bethesda, paid for and owned by one of the big game console companies.

the splanashun makes no effing sense even with the nanomachines, son talk. for instance your brain is attacking yourself and you will die if you keep as V because of the chip made your brain turn into jhonny's? like at chemical level?
they just shoehorned that in for token gayness it seems.

I honestly don't even want these guys to make Witcher 4 or whatever it'll be called at this point.
They'll royally screw it up and irrevocably diminish the wonderful memory of the original trilogy.

Sekiro has more depth. You're going to solve all your problems with the katana but there's a far greater variety in the actual challenges you're going to face and you'll actually have to think about how to solve them. Meanwhile in cyberpunk you're facing copypasted outposts from start to finish and can beat them by slamming your dick on the keyboard no matter what "build" you chose.

Cyberpunk has a ton of handcrafted miniquests. Sekiro do have a bunch of really cool bossfights but they're all either a guy with a weapon or a big monster guy. Sometimes both. Except I guess the snake but I don't count that one as a real boss it's more like an environmental hazard. Sekiro is a skill focused game though and Cyberpunk isn't that's definitely true. Though both are kind of relaxing in their own ways.
