Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

I wouldn't call this a "victory" per se.
Krissy will probably try this again in the future (maybe next year).
She just needs the backing of Quinton Flynn's enemies in the industry to get that clout she was desperately trying to obtain.
I don't know I think this is just a closed case. I really wanna what was discussed in that court room

EDIT: Plus I may wanna see the reaction at some KV people who caught wind of this

It's a small Victory none less. I hope other VAs survive in the future (who every that may be). Kind of sacks when you think about it. A VA can simple come under attack for just liking a Ben Shapiro tweet. And before you know it some nutjob comes searching their Twitter like history and will punish them for just that alone.

Yet people like D.C Douglas are safe even if they act like a creep just because they have the right political views.

Wait, there was a court case?

I don't remember hearing about that.
Yeah, I'm curious if there was a court case over this. It's possible Quinton was really serious about taking Krissy to court, and when she got served she shit herself and decided to back off and settle it out of court. Maybe.

The evidence against Quinton was rather mixed tbh. It's not out of the realm of possibility that he's a bit of a creeper, but compared to other VAs and like the folks at Rooster Teeth, he didn't seem all that bad. We'll take what we can get as long as Cancel Culture gets beaten down.

Welp the Quinton Flynn Saga seems to be over. He won his court case and now the BewareQFlynn has been taken down

While he did have alot more damning evidence than Vic, this victory against Cancel Culture feels......hollow. Also people are pissed off. Reminds me of the TCPA Hearing aftermath
I didn't realize there was a court case. I don't remember too much about the Quinn stuff, just he had more "receipts" against him than others.

The account posted this letter a couple weeks ago. Krissy Rose @thatSLAYERchick is saying that she didn't sign anything and that she has to "under an order", so perhaps a restraining order? The letter alleges she hacked his accounts, cyberstalked him, and pretended to be him to mislead the public.

Did he win or was it a settlement?
NVM I guess they're gonna harass Square now

Spoke too soon.
This is why you need a decisive win.
Quinton would just need to submit to Square the results of his court case and say that this is just a hate mob trying to get Square to bend to their will.

The people only care about getting their way, don't matter if he did anything or not, twitter has already found him guilty & they won't stop until they are satisfied his career/reputation has been burnt to the ground. They will harass his employers & overload them with so much false stories the company will fire him just to be left alone.

Whether Quinton is actually a creep or not, I can't help finding this hilarious considering how determined and confident she was. Krissy put a ridiculous amount of work into this only for it to end in a wet fart. For now, at least. :story:

Call it a hollow victory if you will, but seeing this news did give me a sense of schadenfreude.

Most likely. They probably don't want twitter mobs and any other negative publicity whenever Kingdom Hearts 4 comes out. I'm honestly surprised ANN didn't jump on this situation.
ResetERA was laping it up, though.

I'm surprised everyone in the industry is being quiet over this. After so involved they were when it was Vic. Especially when it was from people who didn't even know him personally

Very well could be a out of court agreement with the court never actually getting involved.

I would love to see any C&D letters or court filings if there were any.

A Flynn Gaiden would be a nice distraction.

EDIT: Shower thought: the funniest, most ironic, most karmic thing would be if the amount Grelle is short by is the amount that KamehaCon would have paid him for an appearance fee.
