Awhile back, someone in a Hoi4 mod server (which Im going to keep ambiguous for their sake) somehow got ahold of and posted these 4 documents. What are they? They're the files which gives an outline for US content from 1972-1980, I'm going to offer a basic tldr for the basic mechanics and presidents below, but please feel free to pour over them at your leisure.

-The 70's will feature a Culture War gui mechanic which broadens the ability for the player to tackle social issues
-These issues include things such as gun control, abortion, immigration, homosexuality etc
-Party factions can adopt a stance on these issues into their official platform
-The mechanic can possibly effect attitudes in American society, making it easier for more extremist presidents to come into office

Party candidates for 1972
RD (D)-Robert McNamara: Basically a pro-interventionist conservative who seeks to enhance US military power while rolling back some provision of social security
RD (R)-George McGovern: The most "wholesome" according to the US team leader meaning he'll be the most boring, focuses on international de-escalation and detente along with other lib LARP
NPP (FR)-Jeane Kirkpatrick: Literal neoconservative and perhaps the most interesting of the 72 candidates, her whole gimmick is overthrowing regimes via the CIA mechanic while installing pro-US ones, economics revolve around exploiting these countries (get it cuz American imperialism le Vaush style) and promoting conservative values at home.
NPP (C)-Henry "Scoop" Jackson: Also a neocon but more socdem oriented, main thing is welfare, interventionism, and cucking the NPP's communists and Yockeyites, will possibly cause an American Vietnam in Venezuela
NPP (L)-Gus Hall: I don't think I need to elaborate much here tbh, he just slowly chips away at American institutions to create a communist state.
NPP (Y) Francis Parker Yockey: Same as Hall when it comes to chipping at the institutions only he wants to create his ideal western state or whatever, will also try and spread his values to other OFN members rather than leaving it outright.

1976 Candidates
RD (D)-Jimmy Carter: The RD equivalent of MCS as his mechanic revolves around uniting or breaking the party, will also try to get America to be energy independent and pursue a human rights oriented agenda in foreign policy, probably the most liberal leaning Democrat candidate overall
RD (R)-Jerry Brown: Not much is known about him in the document other than "Buddhist Economics", do with that what you will (perhaps the stupidest candidate pick as well imo, Nelson Rockefeller would've worked better here working as a right leaning Republican to contrast Carter, but what the fuck do I know)
NPP (FR)-Spiro Agnew: This is perhaps the most insulting candidate here. Angew's whole thing is, I shit you not, being the "American Farouk" meaning he'll be the most corrupt candidate out of any. His economics revolves around pro-business actions such as tax cuts and right to work laws, social policy is essentially same as otl with him utilizing conservative populist rhetoric to cement his party wing (even building up pro-NPP media outlets as well, my hunch is he's will help establish FOX news knowing these devs). His VP is also corrupt and braindead, meaning you'll have to whip him in line for blackmail him off the ticket before he does enough damage to get impeached, if blackmailed off Angew's new VP is John Connelly. Don't get me wrong, Agnew was fairly corrupt in our timeline, but MCS to Agnew makes no sense and the way its worded in the document makes it seem like they're purposely making him cartoonishly malicious.
NPP (C)-Maurine Neuberger: Imagine a progressive socdem like Bernie Sanders and make him a woman for the 76 candidacy, that's literally her whole thing
NPP (L)-Bill Epton: The "New Left" candidate, wants to radically transform (destroy) American society to make it more socialistic while screwing arounf with Germany and Japan
NPP (Y)-Matthias Kohl: This would be the most meme candidate if it weren't for the 80 NPPY candidate. Flirts with esoterism and paganism but main goal is make the Yockeyite faction a legitimate electoral party while cementing wignat and anti-Semitic ideas in society, foreign policy is him spreading his ideas to the OFN and beyond.

1980 Candidates
RD (D)-George HW Bush: Basically the same thing as in our timeline, IE disability rights/welfare, dentate, trade, military expansion, pretty inoffensive overall. Also works with Republicans to screw over the NPP
RD (R)-Birch Bayh: Typical Republican policy along with making it easier to vote plus doubling down on secularism, wants to make government more efficent.
NPP (FR)-Robert Byrd: I take it back, this might be more offensive than Agnew. Byrd is a "Neo-Segregationist" who seeks to gut the civil rights act, decrease federalization, taking away welfare from certain people, tax cuts, favoring the South, essentially Wallace's 64 tree if he goes all out on segregation and states rights. As a chance at "redemption" via a crisis tree where he realizes that he don goofed, making him reverse all the things he did prior then finishing my enacting MLK Day, and yeah this causes the NPP to collapse in on itself too btw. I don't get why the devs have it out to make Byrd some Klu Kluxing boogieman (as Wallace's defense secretary he's portrayed as that too with his description), but hey I guess its for le narrative and artistic expression with no possible bias here.
NPP (C)- Jessie Jackson: No info was provided other than "look as his campaign platform when he ran for president", so expect more civil rights and welfare stuff from him maybe.
NPP (L)-Angela Davis: No info was provided, but seeing how she was Marxist terrorist otl you can use your imagination.
NPP (Y)-William Luther Pierce: Here we fucking go, the one meme candidate to rule them all. Pierce's only goal is to bring about SIEJ on the American institutions and culture, not even bothering trying to be discrete by chipping away at the foundation or solidifying his wing as an electoral force but just by being a bull in a china shop. He leaves the OFN immediately meaning no foreign policy so you can enjoy his wild ride to the fullest. Except that you can't because Pierce will always be assassinated towards the end of his term, meaning that its a total trap path.


However, because I got these documents around a month ago and given everything that's gone down the contents of these might be in doubt. Specifically because Dread (who wrote the Yockeyite doc) and Victoria (who I'm assuming is Pacifica because literally who else would go that in depth on communism and US history) are gone indefinitely to my knowledge. Anyways, I'm not sure if you guys will enjoy this or not but I just found it interesting enough to spur some kind of discussion.

Have Jim Jones appear early as a political organizer on the left, specifically as a fighter for racial equality and social justice. Give the impression that this may be wholesome big chungus Jones (lol no).
By the time Hall is in power, Jones has become a powerful figure on the left, and has become increasingly authoritarian, developing a cult of personality among the youth and greatly expanding his 'People's Temple' political machine.
Gus Hall's VP dies midway through his term, causing Hall to appoint Jones. If Hall gets a second term (utilizing political intimidation, voting fraud, and redistricting), he ends up suffering a stroke and being removed from power. Hall then gets to watch helplessly as Jones utilizes all the weakpoints and cracks that Hall made to cement absolute power. The military, suffering from purges by Hall, is remade with Jones loyalists. Agricultural collectivization (which started as Hall nationalizing big agribusiness and landholders) becomes increasingly focused on grabbing land from 'colonists' and giving it to Jones supporters. The political purges and investigations that Hall used on the Yockeys expand to anyone right of Marx.
Jone's path has two endings. The first is that he manages to cement his hold on the country, and will rule as an absolute dictator for years to come. The other is Jones being ousted by large scale rebellion, which causes him to enact Jonestown on a nationwide scale. People's Temple militia rampage across the country, trying to burn down as much as they can. Millions die, industry is crippled, and America will take decades to recover.

Sounds like something one of the Redux's should do. At this point any rework to the American lore/presidencies would be a welcome change.

I'm honestly glad the crazies left the Crusader Kings 2 modding to HOI4. Elder Kings, and the Warcraft Mod are extremely well made, and as long as they keep the same team, I assume Crusader Kings 3 will have them brought over.

At this point HOI4 is a containment zone for Paradox Games. CK2 for a while was getting really retarded mods full of revisionism and alt cringery, but it stopped immediately when HOI4 released.
