While trying to defend his statement that he is not beholden to a major corporation full of elitists on Twitch like he is on YT, despite this obviously being incorrect (Bezos be praised, peace be upon him), Phil stated that Twitch is better because YT can 'limit' his income because of the add revenue. Meanwhile on Twitch, because of crowdfunding, his potential for income is infinite.
He yammered on about how if he puts out good content, crowdfunding will always see him through. But let's not lose sight of the fact that Phil sees the audience's supply of money as apparently being infinite. He said that obviously he wasn't going to have a millionaire come in and tip high amounts (poor OiC, it's not enough yet buddy, you'd better step up big after Feb 12th), but it's about the audience supporting good content.
He also stated again how consistent his income is on Twitch - he said it has been consistent now for months. This is a curious statement given that we are currently heavy begging and have been complaining about 'slow streams' for the last month. All of this again hammers home that the vest streak income of $100/stream has become what Phil views as 'consistent' as that is what he is chasing to maintain.
Someone asked Phil how it is 'a conversation' if the audience is just listening to him rant. Phil's response? "You asked a question, I answered. That's a conversation, stupid."
All of this is in the context of a Y7 stream where Phil sat in menus for almost 10 minutes, and estimated that this would become a regular grinding stream for the coming weeks. I think he is waiting to see which will take longer - Valhalla or this, and will then use whichever to stall further on Divinity.
