And it's out now. Unlike most Youtuber songs, this doesn't fall under the tier of "so bad it's funny," it just sounds like an unreleased Chainsmokers demo.
Most of these words don't even rhyme. Is it really that hard to go on RhymeZone and make a Baby's First Song with lyrics that actually flow?

It seems like a trend with popular YouTubers to start posting awful music that they know their fans will gobble up just because "my favorite celebrity sings this." For example, I honestly don't know a single person who unironically likes Red Vox without being a Vinesauce fan first. At least Vinny has actual musical talent.

Why put effort into being good when you know your autistic fans will just suck your dick either way?

I thought this song was ironic at first, but no, it's a serious song about a fucking road trip.

To be fair, there are plenty of good songs that don't rhyme. It's absolutely doable if you put in effort, and not make whatever Dream just shat out.

I guess he's cleaning his accounts, he's already changed his branding a bit, and this music thing, he's trying to go like full on mainstream. Don't really know anything specific, saw this from Twitter spamming a bunch of "Follow Topic" stuff, his fans' dedication is pretty crazy.

Time to archive fucking everything, I guess?

Wow...is he seriously doing this?? He is actually killing his golden goose minecraft to pursue a stillbirth music career?? I...I am just kind of shocked that someone who has successfully manipulated (both the algorithm and his fans) his way into success seems to now be pivoting from their primary source of income to something that is such an obviously bad idea and has never worked out for any other Youtuber who has attempted it.

Can he not handle the fact that only the most braindead fans buy that he didn't cheat? I am genuinely excited to see his next steps off this cliff if he really is committed to this form of career suicide.

Looks like it's only his main account getting cleaned up, and people are saying that record labels check the social media accounts of prospective artists, so you're probably right. If he does go mainstream, he'll just be making generic, easily-consumable music with the gimmick of hiding his face behind a white smiling mask, and we already have one of those.

Also, if you want to see more fan obsession related to music, check out @DreamsSpotify, a bot account that documents every song Dream listens to at all times. But don't worry, this public display of blatant stalking is fine because the person they're stalking said it's fine! It's already hard enough for me to comprehend being so famous that tens of thousands of people watch your every move online, but to actively encourage it is something else entirely.

(Between November and now, it seems like Dream changed his alt account handle, @DreamWasTaken2 is now just some random emo guy)

See a lot of people online saying it's not that bad. Really it just achieves the bare minimum of not being immediately offensive to the ears, which is not a difficult feat these days with how much autotune they can (and did) throw on the track. Lyrics are basic and don't rhyme or flow well. Production is generic. Surely he hasn't deluded himself into thinking he can launch a music career off Minecraft when this is the best he's got, but knowing his ego he very well might've.

Before the cheat shenanigans, he would frequently show up in my recommendations despite me not actually watching Minecraft stuff at all, just other games. It's been weird.
This happened to me too but I didn't realize it was him until the cheating fiasco when I checked out his channel and recognized the titles and thumbnails. I haven't been as youtubey for awhile but I also haven't noticed his stuff being recommended whether I'm signed in or not. I'll pay attention going forward, it'd be interesting if he's getting pushed aside.

However, one of his cohorts, George, gets recommended a lot on my unsigned in sessions, regardless of what sort of videos I watch.

Another mathematician talks about the cheating green faggot.

So DreamLuck(tm) is equivalent to equalling the world record in CRAPS (154, not getting a 7) AND the world record in roulette (getting the same colours in a row) SIMULTANEOUSLY. That's one person getting both of these records, one person.

Put that into perspective, two lucky games that are pretty much a once in a century chance, among the countless billions of people who gamble, in all the casinos around the world with games of the two going off for a good half a day at least.

Great video, breaks the abstract thinking by bringing in realistic scenarios of radical probabilities in the real world that's legit. That's far more convincing to those nimrods who can't calculate 2 digit changes than jumbled numbers and autistic graphs.

His conclusion was a radical centrist pull. "I'm not saying he cheated but... (but he cheated)". Modifying the client to yield better odds IS cheating. The fact this green retard isn't disqualified from the boards forever illustrates his privilege of being popular. If he were some little shit streaming to 50 people, nobody would be on his side.

Like this guy who played on a set seed, trying to pass it off as a random one.

Anyway, every single person who knows this stuff, including Dream's little Harvard PhD (whose degree was ordered from alibaba?) is at a consensus. On the opposite end, we have little stan shits. Statistically, betting against autism gives a losing chance of 100%. Just look at all the /biz/ and r/wallstreetbets autism.

I can't help but laugh at how blatently this dude is copying off of Cry's mascot design, it's so fucking obvious that I almost want Cry to come out of the woodwork and call him out for it.

Edit: Incase anyone needs context.

"Here's my Harvard University of England PhD in Astrologicalstatisphycisistian's 1488 paged study to prove I'm not a knockoff."

Now that Matt Parker has decided to show up well after the dust had settled, that has to be the last nail in the coffin. This professional math nerd even put his real name to his words.
But it seems even Dream is moving on to realize his own dreams of being a ... musician. He just seems like an awful guy.

He's not fully rebranding, his new minecraft video is said to premiere today.
I have no idea why but he deleted 3k+ posts from his main twitter (fans say that it's for music purposes) and decided to post minecraft stuff on his alt (@dreamwastaken) So it feels like he has 2 main accs now?

I think those tunes for his manhunts were all composed by himself and they are pretty decent. Decent in the ocean of low effort shit of course. Approaching Nirvana were the earliest ones to find their compositions being used for autistic gaming videos and gained massive clout, they embraced it with temporary success.

Now their viewership is pretty much in the dust despite improvements. Sad, but what can you do?

His background music is all royalty free pretty sure, or at least licensed through some website. Naturally there's a playlist someone made of every song he's ever used.
