Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Is anyone else losing motivation at work because of Covid? I mean I was a stereotypically lazy government employee before but now I do nothing. I just don't fucking care anymore. I can't go out, I can't travel, everything is closed. Any money beyond paying rent is fucking worthless.

I have nothing against old people but...I would absolutely rather that little girl get a proper education so that her remaining 70+ years of life will be full of opportunity than ruin her life before it even begins so grandma doesn’t have to give up the last 5 years of her 70+ years of opportunity. And if I was someone’s grandma while I would want a scenario in which we both did well, if I had to pick between me and my goddamn grandkid I’d pick my grandkid.
Same here, and I have three grandkids, with one more on the way. My kids always came first with me, and my grandkids would come first. And if that means going today, that's God's will. That's my attitude. 👍

I grudgingly acknowledge the passage of time but shall never acknowledge getting old. Fuck that. 🖕

Added: A question, please. Does the ChiCom Flu affect the dick? Just wondering.

Concussions say hello.
True, injuries have always been a risk of high school sports and even music or theater. Plenty of promising talented young people have never gone pro because of something that happened on the field in high school. That was just a risk you had to take to possibly gain stardom. But the risk of coof is the one 100% unacceptable risk that may never be taken.

Cleaning chemicals and masks. I've noticed I feel like shit because the whole area reeks of strong chemicals.

I have found some interesting news from japan
https://news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/d1209cfb641660255cb95f4c227275b1183c5133
The article is talking about rates of antibodies that are found in people in different areas.

"その結果、各地の保有率は、東京0.91%(前回0.10%)、大阪0.58%(同0.17%)、宮城0.14%(同0.03%)だった。新たに対象に加えた愛知は0.54%、福岡は0.19%."

This is the numbers part of the article. Tokyo 0.91% (used to be 0.10%), Osaka 0.58% (0.17), Miyagi 0.14% (0.03) places that are new to being antibody tested are Aichi 0.54% and Fukuoka 0.19%

Possibly more interesting than the article is the discussion about it

Thrown into google translate
"A paper was published in the US Science magazine last month, and it seems that five to ten years later, it will become a virus that infects all human beings by the age of five.
However, if you get infected as a child, you can tolerate it to some extent, so even if you get infected after getting older, it will be difficult for the disease to become severe and the case fatality rate will be about the same as a cold.
Currently, the elderly are more likely to become ill because they are infected for the first time. In short, by the age of two, everyone will be infected with the RS virus or herpes.
Given that, infection is an unavoidable virus."
Its interesting to be able to see discussion and Ideas being shared Instead of the usual believe and don't think.

Look dude you obviously fancy yourself as some kind of super intelligent intellectual so just come out and call me stupid instead of playing cute games and jerking yourself off.

It's boring.
What?

That wasn't directed at you. That was directed at the "what do you have against washing ur hands?11" crowd

Judging by how many times I've had to here "wash your hands for 20 seconds using warm water" during this entire thing, I'm going to go with yes.
Maybe it's just me but it seems like the 'wash your hands' pushing has gone out in favor of the far more annoying 'wear a mask.' Like as soon as the mask shit started the wash your hands stuff disappeared except for signs in bathrooms, which was already a thing before Covid honestly. But you can't visibly tell when people don't wash their hands so masks are much more effective propaganda. God I hate this shit.

Just think, you can work like a good little drone but fuck you very much if you want to see your friends.

I understand how you feel. I can never focus when doing schoolwork at home. I was already a lazy procrastinator beforehand, but now I'm an even lazier procrastinator and more suicidal than ever before. Video games are keeping me TEM-PO-RA-RI-LEEEEEEEEEEE happy for now, but I don't know how long that'll last or what I'll do once it stops.

If anyone wants to toss some optimistic thoughts my way right now I would appreciate that for sure. I know its it's pathetic, I know its derailing, so HMU with neg rated internet stickers pls. But if anyone has a shred or scrap of optimism to toss my drunk ass way, I'd appreciate that please.

(I know I'm pathetic, I get it,but it's been a slog recently and I'm struggling to think of good things)

Edited to say, even if it's your own good news,I'd love to hear that. I'm a miserable shit, but I can still be happy for people.

Cases in the US down by almost half since the beginning of January, majority of US population will almost certainly be vaccinated by early summer, not even counting new - potentially safer and more effective - vaccines being rolled by Johnson & Johnson, etc. Big international organisations like IATA have a stakeholder interest in ensuring that this bullshit does not continue as-is for one more fucking year. Many if not most large shitlib colleges are targeting reopening properly (even if not completely for the fall semester); a number are already open right now. Public sentiment turning against retard teacher unions who are forcing K-12 schools to be closed.

Dumb shits who wank off once every three hours want everyone else to believe that the world will never go back to normal. That's not happening. Even the most corrupt and cynical of corporations have a bottom line, and it isn't going to be met by people staying at home and killing themselves. 2021 is not going to be the cure all but it's not going to be the dogshit that was 2020.

I heard a conspiracy theory that the giant lady from the newest Resident Evil game is either a way of telling us that there will be a release of giants like the Titans or the Nephilim. The giants will want to hook up with humans and the game is a way of feeling out people's reactions to giants and/or getting us used to the idea. So maybe Lady Dimitrescu can be a reality someday. Is that optimism? I have no idea. Sounds interesting though.
