Fanmade Pokémon Designs (Fakemon) - Tracers, garbage designers, and of course, furries

Not going to lie, I can see some of these working as mascots for their respective companies, but as Pokémon? Not really. Sure, there's Pokémon based off of pop culture like how Tyranitar is based off of Godzilla, and some Pokémon like Hitmonlee and Snorlax are based off of real people (the latter being Kōji Nishino, one of Game Freak's game designers), but at least they're subtle and don't immediately remind you of the source material just by looking at them.
There is a pokemon based on Windows logo somewhere on deviantart.

"Shin Art" is a goldmine. He keeps designing things in such a way that looks like it came straight out of a bootleg.
Bitches be lookin' like digimons. Some just get bigger, while others just look overdesigned and almost change the original entirely, like Machamp. Some have suggested that a hypothetical mega for this Pokemon would be without the belt, considering how the dex loves to brag about how powerful Machamp could be if it ever had been taken off.
Some traced art, too. Pretty sure Weavile's was traced from its Pokken portrait, for example.
Admittedly, the Mega Wailord looks kinda cool. The markings feel rather pointless, though. Maybe have some clouds surround it instead, to empathize how Wailord's one of the biggest Pokemon out there?
I think the markings are the clouds.

Seems Shin is going to make X and Y mega evolutions for each fully-evolved Pokémon, kind of like how Charizard and Mewtwo got two megas, but everyone else got one for some reason.
A lot of these X and Y megas feels like the newer ones are just revisions of the ones they just made. As in, they're basically the first concepts except done again in slightly better quality.

For some reason, they did all the starters first. Out of all of them, this one's the most decent IMO.

What is this, Digimon? Blaziken is a fucking chicken, chickens aren't really good flyers. Why would it get wings for?

As soon as we get to generation 5, things begin to get too wild. Christ on a bike, you don't need this many patterns and details in a single design. Not going to post all of the pictures, but the thumbnail for this video includes a Water/Ice Greninja, and part of its tongue-scarf being cut off by ice looks a little painful, don't you think?
Screenshot (5622).png

It's literally the bottom one but the drills are yellow. A shame too, because bug/electric Beedrill can totally work, but they decided to be lazy and take from the already existing mega.
Screenshot (5623).png

Y'know, with the popular "Gengar is Clefable's shadow" theory, I'm left wondering why they didn't make a mega evolution that borrowed from Mega Gengar's design and instead decided to make a dragon-type Clefable.

Not going to lie, I like the concept of Rapidash going two ways: one mega makes it more pegasus, and the other mega strengthening its unicorn qualities without looking like a My Little Pony cough, Galarian Rapidash, cough.
Screenshot (5617).png

I get the intent was to make it look "arcane" or whatever, but I don't think Game Freak would ever blatantly put the Star of David on a Pokémon. This is Pokémon, not Yu-Gi-Oh!. Maybe if they swapped the Star of David out for ambiguous "magic" symbols, it'd be a pretty cool design.
Now we just have to wait until they do all of the other regions in their entirety...

At least shin draws their shit. I keep seeing this one dude pop up in my timeline who just compiles shit from other artists into his videos without credit and claims it as his

At the request of @Lapis Lazuli I am x-posting some pages of a comic I posted in the Furry Art Freak Show thread so people here can laugh at the off-model characters..

Note: The comic itself is pretty NSFW, but it's difficult to find a page that clearly shows some of the designs without furfaggotry in it. Since this isn't the thread for that I have tried to find pages that show off the characters that are still safe for work (albeit with gore). There may be a rogue snatch or dick somewhere that I missed.

I have the worst feeling that this comic may have been inspired by PMD-e, because it's furfag NSFW and there's a Breloom... (:_(

Plenty of PMD roleplay groups were most likely inspired from PMD-e, since PMD-e did have lots and lots of people behind it.
It seems a few characters who were formally a part of the PMD-e canon were reclaimed by their original owners and changed. For example, this Bellossom named Gnarl had his (yes, this character is male) design changed to differentiate him from his old PMD-e counterpart.
It might all be a coincidence though, but PMD-e definitely had a big enough audience to warrant "clones" of sorts.

Oh, and have the rest of the generation 1 X and Y mega evolutions.
Didn't upload the last video since that video was just a recap. Probably going to be doing commentary later, so feel free to take over for me.

Looked through two of the Shinart design videos and some I think look cool but then there are some (that I took screenshots of) that makes me wonder why...

These two are pretty bad cause these two are just slight variations of the same concept

This would be a good design but it’s so busy.

This one is kind of neat until you look at the very human looking feet.

You are aware that the Y one is the official Aerodactyl mega, right?

Looking through these videos, I had a bit of a realization. There's an actual theme with the X and Y mega's that Shinart is staying true to: the "X" megas are suppose to be the powerful physical form (both in appearance and typing like being dual-typed with dragon or fighting) while the "Y" megas are essentially a further evolution of the base pokemon. Just take a look are charizard and mewtwo's megas and you'll see what I mean.

Human looking feet? I mean...

Though, I don't think Jynx actually has feet. It's just a void under her dress, as demonstrated in her Pokémon Stadium animations (Skip to around 4:19)
I'd argue that Aerodactyl X is a little better than Y since all it does is stick some rocks onto Aerodactyl, while X actually does change things up a bit. And yes, I know Y is the canon design. Maybe if X looked a little less busy, it could work.

Definitely an issue with these is that they're way too cluttered and usually don't take the Pokémon's lore into consideration. It's what Digimon was criticized for and it's why not many Pokémon designs have clutter or overwhelming amounts of detail. Unless you count Eternatus, that one looks like shit.

That steel-type Hitmonlee is almost unrecognizable. Without the extendable legs and how the arms are built, someone would easily mistake this for another Pokémon entirely.

Sorry, my mistake. I don’t have much experience with Generation six outside of the starters and gen one favorites and just assumed Aerodactyal did not have mega evolutions in the first place. I still dislike the Offical mega cause they really did just stick a bunch of rocks on him.
I forgot the Machamp family had the toes. For some reason I remembered all the forms having paws so that’s a lapse in my memory.

Technically it's just Machoke who has the uncannily human-like feet. Machop has none, and Machamp has two.
Another one, featuring the first half of generation two. The other half will come out tomorrow. I do appreciate that, unlike last last time, these seem to have slightly more thought into these designs. IMO, Sudowoodo's seem to be pretty decent.
And, since most of the discussion has been on ShinArt, it's come to my attention we've never touched on their mobile game, My Cat Pots. Then again, that game isn't really a monster battler, so...
