Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

How long before the CCP takes more direct action? If there’s a prime time to bring America to its knees and turns America into a Chinese administrative unit?
Americans are terminally stupid and late to the game, but forcing us to learn even a single Chinese character would lead to WW3

I don't think Iran cares. They just want their Great Satan gone.
Relax. The Iranians may be our mid-east foils, and the may be superficially motivated by Islam, but they're generally rational actors. They do what they perceive to be in their best interest. Having a Great Satan to blame everything on helps them domestically. Nobody is nuking anybody.

Classic stalemate. Here's word from Khamenei:

Still, it's all just a bread circus as stupid as Biden sounds, and aggressive as Iran is posturing itself.

In less clown-ish times, former presidents being kept abreast of intelligence developments would allow them to serve as consultants to the currently serving president. They were, after all, in charge of the nation for at least four years already. They have at least four years of experience on the job, likely through their own political crises.

These days, though? Yeah, I don't think that's happening.
Nah, it's only because it's Trump. We would not be hearing a whisper of this, especially from that individual you quoted, if it weren't him we were talking about.

It's classic attempting to look reasonable while only applying said seemingly reasonable standards when convenient.

I was told off for suggesting Trump did something reasonable by leaving the Iran deal. Now Biden is mad dogging the Iranians just as bad.
Awaiting the wave of “cool lady“ 冷白女 tattoos
I'm pretty sure it would be "Bitch is property of (insert name of Chinese billionaire)".

They don't even need dirt on Biden anymore. They have bought and paid for our elections already, they own our political system. All they have to do is flash enough cash to get the political whores to spread their legs. And I say that with full awareness that I'm insulting actual whores by using that expression.

this. no need for blackmail and other shit if they can just pay him hunter off like they did in the past.

Why should any president get intelligence briefings after they leave office? They can't make policy decisions and I could see vindictive presidents using that information to subtlety disrupt the current president's operations.

I assume it's part of unity for the ex-Presidents club. They're all on the same team, no longer party affiliated or motivated after they leave. Hence how Bush and Obama's are friends. There is a break down of this, with people like Obama breaking the unspoken rules and criticising Trump.

The bubble of scientific reality. the one you are on here trying to avoid.
But over the last few weeks, as vaccination has become a top priority, the pattern has changed. Progressive leaders in much of the world are now struggling to distribute coronavirus vaccines quickly and efficiently:
Europe’s vaccination rollout “has descended into chaos,” as Sylvie Kauffmann of Le Monde, the French newspaper, has written. One of the worst performers is the Netherlands, which has given a shot to less than 2 percent of residents.
Canada (at less than 3 percent) is far behind the U.S. (about 8.4 percent).
Within the U.S., many Democratic states — like California, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York and tiny Rhode Island — are below the national average. “The parts of the country that pride themselves on taking Covid seriously and believing in government are not covering themselves in glory,” The Times’s Ezra Klein has written.
At the same time, there are clear success stories in places that few people would describe as progressive.
Alaska and West Virginia have the two highest vaccination rates among U.S. states, with Oklahoma and the Dakotas also above average. Globally, Israel and the United Arab Emirates have the highest rates. Britain — run by Boris Johnson, a populist Conservative — has vaccinated more than 15 percent of residents.

Just you wait! Two more weeks and those Science-denying red states are going to be plaguelands! Any day now they'll be sorry they turned away from Science's light!
