Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

But over the last few weeks, as vaccination has become a top priority, the pattern has changed. Progressive leaders in much of the world are now struggling to distribute coronavirus vaccines quickly and efficiently:
Europe’s vaccination rollout “has descended into chaos,” as Sylvie Kauffmann of Le Monde, the French newspaper, has written. One of the worst performers is the Netherlands, which has given a shot to less than 2 percent of residents.
Canada (at less than 3 percent) is far behind the U.S. (about 8.4 percent).
Within the U.S., many Democratic states — like California, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York and tiny Rhode Island — are below the national average. “The parts of the country that pride themselves on taking Covid seriously and believing in government are not covering themselves in glory,” The Times’s Ezra Klein has written.
At the same time, there are clear success stories in places that few people would describe as progressive.
Alaska and West Virginia have the two highest vaccination rates among U.S. states, with Oklahoma and the Dakotas also above average. Globally, Israel and the United Arab Emirates have the highest rates. Britain — run by Boris Johnson, a populist Conservative — has vaccinated more than 15 percent of residents.

I was told the red states were like the black paluge. Also I went to Florida back in November for my aunt's wedding. Alot of Floridans you speak too will tell you what CNN is telling you about the state is false and that it's not as bad done there.

Classic stalemate. Here's word from Khamenei:

Still, it's all just a bread circus as stupid as Biden sounds, and aggressive as Iran is posturing itself.

I dunno, instructing his PR team to construct a narrative where the pro-LGB, pro-trans, pro-choice and anti-Hyde amendment president is somehow a faithful Catholic seems an awful lot like gaslighting to me.
Catholics are a bit more "leftist" politically (in American terms anyway) than the Bible-thumpin' Protestants and have been for a while, and the current Pope might as well be an Antifa activist. Also, the term "social justice" and many of its concepts actually originated from Catholicism. The Moral Majority stuff and its successors are all pretty solidly Protestant.

Isn’t a thing about Catholics they went from Latin to English in the 60s, and things like altar boys snowballed from there as the church “lost its way”?

Yes, who cares if you grant amnesty to millions, destroy jobs, enable more military meddling in the Middle East, and restrict civil liberties as long as you go to church on Sundays and don't mean tweet or play golf!

Totally worth it!

It’s funny, I thought the left was about destroying religion and replacing it with widespread atheism or the state, at least in a western sense of religion.

I don't really think the two are related and there was probably just as much sexual abuse in the church before the '60s as there was when it started blowing up a couple decades ago, if not more. The word "catamite" has Latin roots, after all.
