Do you know what vaccine you got? My wife got her second dose of the Moderns, and she was pretty wiped for a day afterward. I'm willing to take it, but I figure it will be months before I can even get an appointment.24 hours since the first vaccine, still alive, no real side effects besides small pain where they injected it and headache (though that may be the usual start of the week headache).
If you want to question why I took it, it's mainly for the small chance to go skiing this year (since we now need to get a shot for basic civil rights). It's retarded but fuck everything at this point.
I'm pretty sure it was Pfizer.Do you know what vaccine you got? My wife got her second dose of the Moderns, and she was pretty wiped for a day afterward. I'm willing to take it, but I figure it will be months before I can even get an appointment.
Then there is the small, though non zero, risk of vaccinating hundreds of millions of people with a non sterilizing vaccine. Viruses mutate over time, and they tend to mutate to more benign forms. This isn't because viruses are 'smart' it's because infected hosts who only become mildly unwell will more easily spread the virus allowing greater opportunity for the milder strains to replicate and out compete the more deadly. This is why SARS only managed to infect a few thousand people, it caused it's host to become so sick that they either died (dead people don't become spreaders) or so obviously unwell that other people would actively avoid them and the infected tended not to move around (you weren't going to your favorite restaurant for a meal if you caught SARS).
There should be no debate that the mRNA vaccines are non sterilizing (that even after vaccination an individual still runs a significant risk of contracting Covid). It's why the CDC are telling us to still wear masks and avoid close contact with others even after we get the needle.
So what's the nightmare scenario? Well it's not that the vaccines won't work as advertised, it's that they will. That the vaccinated will not become significantly unwell when infected, even if they catch a more deadly mutated strain than those circulating currently. The vaccinated in effect become super spreaders of these mutated strains putting the non vaccinated at severe risk. The factor that tends to limit spread of deadly viral strains, making the host too sick to infect others, becomes negated.
This is.
I've tried to explain all this to multiple family members and friends, they all look at me like I'm crazy or immediately parrot their script learned from the stupid television. I've been saying for years, they don't call it programming for nothing.
Ask around, or look into your family medical history to sew if you have a legit reason first. This should be your first port of call.So how can I find a doctor willong to write me an exemption? Im aware medical marijuana cards can be obtained easy if you pay the doctor extra money to cover his operating costs.
Destroy the media
Turns out autism is communicable.I went out for a few beers to re connect with an old friend and I saw a couple making out with masks on.
What the fuck is going on?
That's one of the reasons I have a non-smartphone.The reason they'll allow festivals but not weddings is because they know that they can make people going to festivals get the vaccine and download the tracing software on to their phones.
For most business purposes, flying is obsolete anyways. Assuming work doesn't already demand you do everything by Zoom meetings, you should demand of your boss to not have in-person meetings. In ye olden days of the 90s, a common Dilbert trope was how meetings were called to set up more meetings so that managers could look like they were doing a job when they were really wasting everyone's time. Aside from vacation, which get regulated to such a degree that you have to spend ten days in a Hawaii quarantine instead of surfing and/or gawking, there's no need to fly anywheres. How long til PresidentHarrisBiden makes it mandatory to take the COVID shot so you can go on an airplane? I'm hoping everyone reaches the point and tells them all to fuck off collectively. Also had someone tell me how I wasn't being "helpful" because I never wore a mask pre-COVID.
Just because you’ve been vaccinated with one of the two authorized coronavirus vaccines doesn’t mean you’ve earned a golden ticket to brunch or wine night with loved ones, experts say.
That’s because there’s a lot scientists don’t yet know about how the vaccines work in real-life scenarios, such as mimosas with grandma. What they do know is that both the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna shots are capable of preventing coronavirus-related death, as well as severe disease.
However, what’s largely unknown is if the vaccines prevent people from getting infected and unknowingly spreading the virus to others, even if they don’t get sick with symptoms themselves. So, while you may be in the clear, your unvaccinated loved ones may still face risks.
And now with three more contagious coronavirus variants on the loose in the U.S., advice for post-vaccination life becomes extra complicated. This is why experts say behavior after getting a shot should remain largely unchanged: wear masks in public, physically distance yourself from others and wash your hands frequently.
“I know everyone wants to get the vaccine and go right back to normal, but it’s unfortunately just not that simple,” Dr. Greg Poland, a vaccinologist and director of the Mayo Clinic’s Vaccine Research Group, told WebMD. “Vaccines plus masks allow us to start expanding our bubble among other people who have gotten vaccines and wear masks.
