Go back to New York

24 hours since the first vaccine, still alive, no real side effects besides small pain where they injected it and headache (though that may be the usual start of the week headache).
If you want to question why I took it, it's mainly for the small chance to go skiing this year (since we now need to get a shot for basic civil rights). It's retarded but fuck everything at this point.
Do you know what vaccine you got? My wife got her second dose of the Moderns, and she was pretty wiped for a day afterward. I'm willing to take it, but I figure it will be months before I can even get an appointment.

I'm pretty sure it was Pfizer.
If it wasn't for a rushed vaccine with debatable effects, I'd be pretty proud of how Israel rolled out the vaccinations so already every risk group had a chance to get a vaccine.
However the infections rate is still sky high so either the vaccine is far less effective, or the fucking orthodox jews and arabs don't get a shot and keep infecting their communities.

I'm been thinking a fair bit about nightmare scenarios when it comes to the mRNA vaccines.

There's the individual risks, severe allergic reactions, muscle paralysis, sterility. These are factors we must all weigh up when deciding whether to get our shots.

Then there is the small, though non zero, risk of vaccinating hundreds of millions of people with a non sterilizing vaccine. Viruses mutate over time, and they tend to mutate to more benign forms. This isn't because viruses are 'smart' it's because infected hosts who only become mildly unwell will more easily spread the virus allowing greater opportunity for the milder strains to replicate and out compete the more deadly. This is why SARS only managed to infect a few thousand people, it caused it's host to become so sick that they either died (dead people don't become spreaders) or so obviously unwell that other people would actively avoid them and the infected tended not to move around (you weren't going to your favorite restaurant for a meal if you caught SARS).

There should be no debate that the mRNA vaccines are non sterilizing (that even after vaccination an individual still runs a significant risk of contracting Covid). It's why the CDC are telling us to still wear masks and avoid close contact with others even after we get the needle.

So what's the nightmare scenario? Well it's not that the vaccines won't work as advertised, it's that they will. That the vaccinated will not become significantly unwell when infected, even if they catch a more deadly mutated strain than those circulating currently. The vaccinated in effect become super spreaders of these mutated strains putting the non vaccinated at severe risk. The factor that tends to limit spread of deadly viral strains, making the host too sick to infect others, becomes negated.

Which groups aren't or shouldn't be vaccinated? Individuals with history of severe allergies. The immunocompromised. Pre-pubescent children. Pregnant women.

Covid-19 is a relatively benign respiratory infection, with severe disease almost exclusively limited to those who report well defined morbidity (diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, obesity, hypertension). It generally has nothing to do with age, older people who do not suffer morbidity display incredibly low mortality rates, it's the fat diabetics that are dying.

Children are either immune from Covid or when they do catch it show mild to non existent symptoms, this may not be the case if deadlier strains are given a free ride in the population who've had the mRNA vaccines. Are we prepared to risk the next generation to protect the 300lb diabetic who lives off soda and fries? Apparently we are.

Non sterilizing vaccines have NEVER been used before precisely for this reason. At most these vaccines should be given only to those at high risk and nobody else.

But wait I hear you say, doesn't this mean we should vaccinate everyone? Well no. Firstly we can't vaccinate everyone, it's practically impossible. Secondly injecting people who are at no risk (children) with vaccines that have not been tested as safe for them is psychopathic. Thirdly even if we did vaccinate everyone the problem persists. As the vaccines are non sterilizing the virus will still circulate and mutate, eventually a strain will mutate a work around against the vaccine, this is already happening, and we're back to hoping it isn't a deadlier mutation or we're fucked.

We would be much, much better off allowing Covid to do it's thing. We should have concentrated on developing treatment protocols for those who suffer severe disease, but allow it's spread in the expectation that it will mutate into something benign.

Anyway chances are I'm wrong and it will all work out for the best.

I feel like the doomer porn propaganda works against itself.

I'm young and I have no contributing conditions, so my risk of dying or getting serious secondary effects from COVID is basically 0 already.

And they've doom porned everyone by telling them that the vaccine doesn't stop you from infecting other people so you'll still have to wear a face diaper and that the restrictions will continue. So, what the fuck is the point of me getting the vaccine? Shit, most countries don't have enough vaccine for the people who actually want it, so wtf are they already harping on about forcing people to take this shit? It's like discussing force-feeding options for prisoners when you have a global food shortage, it's retarded.

This is exactly the conclusion I'd come to after reading a shitload of dry ass studies (mostly pertaining to SARS, previous attempts at mRNA vaccines and attenuated virus vaccines) and listening to multiple doctors including an internationally recognized epidemiologist confirm that this vaccine does not prevent transmission, does not confer immunity, it's for symptom mitigation only. So now you CAN potentially become an asymptomatic spreader after accepting this bullshit poison. I had a client come over the other day, and when I was nearly done with her service, she tells me she'd gotten the first shot of the Pfizer vaccine. I was physically uncomfortable but I think hid it well. I'm not afraid of the coof, but I'm sure as hell afraid of whatever experimental chemical X mystery soup is in that shot and any super strain that could result from it's use. The worst part is we DO have treatments and prophylactic protocols that work well against the coof, they're being suppressed because Fraudci and his ilk want their money invested to translate to massive profits.

I've tried to explain all this to multiple family members and friends, they all look at me like I'm crazy or immediately parrot their script learned from the stupid television. I've been saying for years, they don't call it programming for nothing.

So how can I find a doctor willong to write me an exemption? Im aware medical marijuana cards can be obtained easy if you pay the doctor extra money to cover his operating costs.

This is.

Ask around, or look into your family medical history to sew if you have a legit reason first. This should be your first port of call.

Does anyone in your family have any history of any autoimmune disorder, epilepsy, allergies, especially to glycols? Are you female and of childbearing age?
Look to do it legitimately first the consider alternatives. This is a good rule to follow in life on general.

Found what appears to be a rare bit of actual reporting by the NYT. The covid mRNA vaccines appear to be causing immune thrombocytopenia, which is an autoimmune disorder where the immune system attacks the blood platelets. It's what killed that one doctor in Miami.

Of course, they bow to their corporate masters by repeatedly saying THIS ISNT A REASON TO AVOID THE VACCINE at the end of the article even though the experts they interviewed said it was likely these cases were vaccine-related.

The reason they'll allow festivals but not weddings is because they know that they can make people going to festivals get the vaccine and download the tracing software on to their phones.
That's one of the reasons I have a non-smartphone.

Powelevel, but got a call to have the Fizzer vax today cause I have the beetus, but refused as will only take it if it's required to leave the country later this year (got a lot of bunkering to do in France and Germany), and even then only the Oxford one. Because fuck it, I'm only 37 and someone else can be a guinea pig.
Sis has already had the jab with second dose in April, and mum's going to take it next week. My 75 year old uncle was lucky to get the Oxford one.

Forgot to post this yesterday, but this is one of the oldest screenshots I have of the John Hopkins COVID tracker. Check the timestamp in the lower right-hand corner. Doubless I need to tell you that China has gone up 70,000 cases in a year, and the US went up 23 million in the same time period, despite the population of China outnumbering the US roughly 4 to 1.

How long til President Harris Biden makes it mandatory to take the COVID shot so you can go on an airplane? I'm hoping everyone reaches the point and tells them all to fuck off collectively. Also had someone tell me how I wasn't being "helpful" because I never wore a mask pre-COVID.
For most business purposes, flying is obsolete anyways. Assuming work doesn't already demand you do everything by Zoom meetings, you should demand of your boss to not have in-person meetings. In ye olden days of the 90s, a common Dilbert trope was how meetings were called to set up more meetings so that managers could look like they were doing a job when they were really wasting everyone's time. Aside from vacation, which get regulated to such a degree that you have to spend ten days in a Hawaii quarantine instead of surfing and/or gawking, there's no need to fly anywheres.

Granted, it'll cause airline companies and Hawaii to demand ANOTHER bailout, but seeing as how we don't get a say in whether bailouts occur in the first place, I don't consider it my responsibility.

Part of me kind of hopes that they make the vaccine mandatory, as it would be the universe's way of making me move from New York to Florida or Texas.

I already got the coronavirus almost a year ago ... my rejection of the vaccine is purely due to the principal of it all; I will not be compelled to take a vaccine for a disease that barely affected me. I experienced a very mild cold, why would I get vaccinated for the sniffles?

Everyone's situation is different. I think my parents should get vaccinated, even if it's only so they can feel safe enough to venture out, as they have a higher risk of being affected by the ronies. I am also concerned about the vaccine affecting them negatively, but I think that's a low risk. They understand their own risks though and have decided to get vaccinated when they can.

Everyone's situation is different though; the government doesn't know what's best for me or you. The government doesn't know a god damned thing about me or you. Why should the government come along and tell me how to look after my own health? I don't want the same kind of people who work at the DMV deciding what's healthy for my body. I can figure that out all on my own.

So, if Papa Cuomo or Baba Biden tries to force me into being complicit in this farce, I'll simply extricate myself and move to a red state which values individual liberty.

Can you visit loved ones after getting a COVID vaccine? It depends, experts say

https://www.miamiherald.com/news/coronavirus/article249094765.html (https://archive.vn/JbDDr)
Excerpt:
Just because you’ve been vaccinated with one of the two authorized coronavirus vaccines doesn’t mean you’ve earned a golden ticket to brunch or wine night with loved ones, experts say.

That’s because there’s a lot scientists don’t yet know about how the vaccines work in real-life scenarios, such as mimosas with grandma. What they do know is that both the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna shots are capable of preventing coronavirus-related death, as well as severe disease.

However, what’s largely unknown is if the vaccines prevent people from getting infected and unknowingly spreading the virus to others, even if they don’t get sick with symptoms themselves. So, while you may be in the clear, your unvaccinated loved ones may still face risks.

And now with three more contagious coronavirus variants on the loose in the U.S., advice for post-vaccination life becomes extra complicated. This is why experts say behavior after getting a shot should remain largely unchanged: wear masks in public, physically distance yourself from others and wash your hands frequently.

“I know everyone wants to get the vaccine and go right back to normal, but it’s unfortunately just not that simple,” Dr. Greg Poland, a vaccinologist and director of the Mayo Clinic’s Vaccine Research Group, told WebMD. “Vaccines plus masks allow us to start expanding our bubble among other people who have gotten vaccines and wear masks.
