No one in the center is saying Biden's doing a good job. These people live in DC and Northern Virginia to the point they don't recognize anything. Even the annoying wives and girlfriends of friends who were vocal about Trump being dumb and mean have gone quiet since January 20th as they see their objection vote allow this shit to happen. Basically, if you are an illegal alien commit manslaughter, or even 2nd degree murder, are sentenced to a prison term of 10 years you will not be deported under this law even if on the day of your release you were caught in a DUI and fleeing any accidents they caused.

Also, I will note that most plea deals reduce charges and drops others. Such, an illegal immigrant could have beat a man unconscious to steal his bike, get caught by a cop on patrol, be arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

However, since the plea bargain system undercharges the illegal immigrant pleas to simple assault and attempted larceny.

Magically, no more deportation. This is not even consider the amount of pozzed D.A.s that will avoid charging serious offenses correctly if said criminal could be deported.

I'm not sure how true that is these days. Alot of Catholics are questioning Pope Francis lately. I'm just saying what I was raised too. both my parents are Catholics both my grandparents and all my aunt's and uncles too. Most of them lean right besides like maybe 3.

The Bible as a singular entity didn't exist yet, and wouldn't for centuries. He's obviously talking about one (1) prophecy in a compilation of prophecies. Sounds kind of guilty of addition if you ask me.

There's enough bad here, mostly from institutional effects caused by basically telling DHS/ICE that they can no longer do their job effectively. But if you read between the lines, not much is really changing legally, immigration law remains the same in regards to what criminal offenses constitute a removable offense.

I notice in the article it's claimed that many drug offenses and non-violent offenses aren't removable, but that's only partially true - in fact I was fairly certain that virtually any drug crime (including simple possession of all class A and possibly others) constituted an "aggravated felony" per immigration law. Also, theft and certain other property crimes fall under the moral turpitude statute, which turns them into removable offenses again under immigration law.

Immigration law is completely and wildly different from criminal law. I guess it's too much to expect effective journalism regarding these topics.

Edit: For a really extreme example of immigration law fuckery look no farther than the 1 year rule... If you commit a felony that would otherwise give you the option for obtaining relief from deportation, but are then sentenced to more than 364 days (including suspended sentences), that felony becomes "aggravated" per immigration law and basically kills your ability to obtain cancellation of removal on that charge.

I don't know if I've ever met a right-leaning Catholic, but I did a perfunctory search and apparently the Catholic Presidential vote is typically split around 50/50. (The ones I know are more like 75/25 or 90/10 leftists, and none are openly conservative.) They voted for Obama, but also for Bush. Last year they came out for Biden, and may have swung a couple states his way. You can call him a traitor to the church and quote canon law and the Summa and all the encyclicals you want to prove that he's the worst fake Catholic to ever befoul a baptismal font, but he won the Catholic vote.
