A call to arms of sorts. Kaiserreich has seemingly gotten off the hook with all this drama so far. But they look ripe for the picking. Just look at the dev team's profile pictures. There are certainly a few lolcows to sniff out. And there's also a member on a Trans Nazi discord.

We'll definitely need to keep an eye on this, but as stated; The Farms is mainly a place to document and have entertainment. However, given the 'momentum' of recent mod drama, I'd give Kaiserreich within 3 months before shit hits the fan.

Just again a reminder, the TWR dev team looks far worse IMO in the case of profile pictures than the Kaiserreich team. It's up to your judgement.

And IIRC the lead dev of TWR, Prox, is a mulatto which wants everybody to become mixed-race. He also admires New York because it's 'cosmopolitan'. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I haven't really seen much within the dev chats to warrent a lolcow from any of them tbh. It's just working and talking about moding tbf. Prox is a strange dude, but lolcow status seems to be in doubt.

I'm relatively a newcomer to TNO when I downloaded HoI4 and enjoyed it like fuck. Anyone who says the game is bad clearly never worked at a video game store.

Look, the Hearts of Iron series are made by Paradox. making games costs MONEY. Food for coders, fishing them, getting them to work together while resisting to grab a tire iron and brain one to make an example of (last one is like herding a bunch of cats on speed) And like you don't know what. Without derailing much, the company makes games out of ideas and encourages people to mod it. The finest two WW2 grand strat games, Arsenal of Democracy and Darkest Hour, are fanmade HoI2 remakes approved by the company.

So Paradox is a co-op company so to speak.

About 2019, I stumbled on this mod when I was fishing for fun facts from TVTROPES, and saw this mod.

I was impressed. A nazi victory while showing how utterly, utterly and utterly fucked up the world would be if certain things in the timeline went horribly wrong. Let's be honest, an alive Heydrich would be a very bad thing. VERY. VERY. BAD. I'm no wehraboo but this guy would definitely hurt the world even as the Reich would inevitably die.

So I get impressed by the mod. Why? It explains a Nazi rush into USSR defeat would not be a roaring victory. It would be a starving wolf choking to death while trying to consume several partly alive, and slightly venomous animals.

Sorry for the dramatic explanation.

I notice the mod will have radical structure changes, new UI and even a financial system which depends on its civilian industries, which also need some of the output producing money.

Then I read that (truthfully) the game has MORE flavor text and event description than the entire Hearts of Iron franchise combined. Simplest unifier Russian warlords have MORE story and detail than the base game's superpowers.

So it's good right?

I lurk, eventually poke around, get the mod's early builds and poke around for fun.

South African minimod was fun. So the hype builds.

I go into discord around 2020. You should have seen the discord around the release time.

That was the moment I started to get feeling that something is wrong about the mod.

In the midst of a massive cold war and horror crisis, the game was told to have tickers about "LGBTIQ+ rights", "minorities' rights" and extensive coverage of gays and trans people within a world gone mad like fallout: new vegas on crack. (for those that dont get it, the city and structural system of South Urals area of Russia is directly adapted from Fallout: New Vegas)

We get a lesbian couple in Orenburg, gays in prison in Amur's Russian fascists waiting execution, and several extensive explanations of Dirlewanger's rape-cannibalize-slaughter fantasies, and a group of former raped women by him coming to smoke his ass.

Yellow flags started to rise.

"Seriously", I posted at Discord. "I have one little question. Are there any LGBTIQ+ in the dev team?"

It was an innocent question but I was taken offense against. The response, as far as i remember, was very terse. Any further comments about "oh he just asked if anyone was a trap" received a ban. I apologize for the lack of screenshots, so you have to take my word for it: I didn't think it would go this far. The mods were very, very autistically anal retentive about ANY lgbtiqewruotıweurwphsk references, as well as raining bans like hailstorm when ANYONE made a slightly horny posting. (such as having a crush on Yevdokiya Bershanskaya and calling her a MILF) Flags started to rise since I realized ANY arguments or doing anything the mods were in a bad mood in resulted in banning.

Say "Bormann wasn't a bad guy IRL"? Ban(He was, but that's not the point. Wehraboos are autistic but less than troons). Say "Vlasov was an OK guy IRL, I hope Samara's KONR gets happy ending?" Ban. Praise anything liberal or right relative to "Tankie" in political compass, BAN BAN BAN.

About the release date, 21 July, I had moved in to my new home after marriage. My wife sleeping in the next room, me relaxing after my work from home, it was time to play the mod.

I am glad I had the earphones. The Discord page was blipping and blopping and blinking with constant updates about "MOD WHEN" "PANZER DADDY RELEASE THE MOD IN ME" "MOOOOOOOOOOD WHEEEEEEEEEEEEN" and autistic screechings prerecorded as files until they changed the page to text-only.

On the plus side, the screams, begs, frothings and bangings on the wall were ambrosia to my ears.

Imagine. A realtime chat where 5000+ people are screaming on top of their lungs and spamming the keyboard about begging Jakob (Pinkpanzer) to RELEASE THE MOD IN ME DADDYWAARRRGARRRBLLLLL

Some sent voicefiles, some made themselves screaming and banging their heads on the wall, one dude even went Pink Guy on the screen.

For.

Six. Hours.

Even my wife came over to check up on me to see how I brayed to unconsciousness, blacked out twice from laughing. I. Blacked. Out. From Laughing. I wish many of you were at TNO Discord at the release day.

I showed her the logs and she shook her head and got to work. Luckily I had one day off. So, around 7:00 AM, my cigarette and tea fueled night wait resulted in a creaky neck, bad vertebrae and pain. Popping 6 Glucosamine I went to sleep.

afternoon before wife came home, the mod was OUT!

MY 3 YEARS OF WAITING PAID OFF!

Wait a minute.

After all the hype, hype and endless hype, the mod turned out to be a...railroading disappointment except for Russian Warlords. I'm not even going to speak about game mechanics, efficiency multipliers are so bad entire countries are unable to produce more than a dozen rifles per month. We also find out normalized fa- I mean LGBTIQ boosts population growth and stability. (again, Troontard la la logic)

It was as if the whole game was about the endless Russian Unifiers, most of which are... drumroll please...unironic tankies. I mean, yes there is virtually -every- sort of unifier warlord with many, many interesting ideologies, yet for some reason WRRF wins the struggle canon-wise. And many AuthSoc (Tankie for TNOspeak) paths in Russia have incredible bonuses. Many warlord factions you play have storylines for options, until after a certain plot point your actions define whether you go Libsoc (what socialism should have been ideally) or Authsoc(What it is IRL, Tankie Dictatorship)

Obviously, Libsoc paths forego MANY bonuses for war production and recruitment rates. So you -can- be idealist Valery Sablin who has a USSR with FREE ELECTIONS, FREE PRESS, everything allowed except Fascist/National Socialist philosophy/parties. But you'll have a hard time without cheats.

Also the mod's storyline has Ian Smith shot dead before the story goes in motion, as a "jab to 4chan and altright to show their Rhodesia is shit"

Now we stop for a second.

This is...like Chris-chan's stories where he builds his la la land and tortures and kills his hated rivals.

I dig deeper. This is a clear sign the developers wanted to blow off some steam. Still...

The mod is about "fascism is bad". Amirite?

For some magical reason even the worst Authsocs endure without any problems. Indeed, USSR, when united, can outdo the entire Einheitspakt (Nazi-EU), fueled by Bukharin's Siberian Plan and rebuild from STONE AGE in a matter of months. Outbuild and outdo the ENTIRE EUROPE, militarized and rebuilt and built upon for hundreds of years when Russians were in Medieval Era, busy being the prime white slave flesh being sold from Caffa to Islamic lands. (social commentary, Slavic Slave Trade was as bad as Atlantic Slave Trade but I guess its ok when its white women for sex slaves to Middle-Easterners because Kalergi wants white flesh for Allah)

But fascism? Oh no no no no, fascism bad! Tankie good!

Whether this is true or false is a non-issue. You insult the troon-tankie-tard Pacifica's man-crushes, you get a ban and are evaporized.

It got bad enough that TNO subreddit began employing methods to "suspected returns" and any words even referring to KIWI started auto erasures.

I came here because I thought about talking about this link to others.

So why did I write a long ass uninteresting story?

So that people can take lessons.

When it's a work of art, yes, the main artist will have an inflated ego, it's a fact. They deserve it, I mean it's a free game and you get to play it, so he is entitled to instill his views.

But what happened at TNO was, even from a very uninformed perspective of mine, a clear whistle of a crashing train. The mods, devs, whomever ran the show are even less tolerant of many SJW subreddits. Many regularly comb for keywords or kick each other. And now this civil war. MERELY BECAUSE SOME TRANNY FAGGOT (with respect to sincere transgirls) got his hormone shots mess with his brain that day and sperged out at some Russian dev helpers offering to rewrite some plot.

Bottom line:

Troons do not deserve to have basic human rights.
