Does anyone here think Lou is capable of knowing just how useless he is?

I've been trying to work this out for a while if he knows or understands, and it's one of those things I can't wrap my head around how he -couldn't- know.

He's almost 40. He has never worked, never earned anything he's received. Look at anywhere else in society, People his age have families, hobbies (legit ones), friends and most of all, a purpose in life which brings them some kind of fulfilment.

Lou has nothing. I know heaps of other KFers have gone through his complete lack of any form of contribution to life and society, but he has to know what his existence amounts to. How can he not?

Literally every single person he interacts with is better than he is. People who have jobs, skills, are developing a talent, have empathy for others - fuck, even have a goal in life.

To me, this question is one of those completely unknowable things humans are incapable of understanding. Like how birds can see the UV Wavelength and what that would "look" like, what 4D Space would be like to experience, etc. How Lou cannot see these truths, directly in front of him, and can continue to -legitimately- think he is better than a minimum wage worker. I don't understand it at all! He thinks he's better than an artist who earns money through commissions. Better than the person scrubbing floors at a fast food chain.

And if he does know, how can he choose to do nothing to fix it??

He has to know what his life is like, right?

Just remember that those 'nasty things' are people telling him he needs to spend less time on twitter and more time trying to improve his life. Offering him suggestions on how to find doctors that can help him become independent and eventually move out and support himself. Some offering to mail him food and offering ways he can find work he can do from his own computer. Meanwhile he wants total absolution for telling people to physically assault SueDeer, for calling black people Nazis, and 'fellow' Trans people Transtrenders just because he said he was sorry, despite his behavior making it pretty clear that he's still an angry little beast that will turn on you in an instant if you don't worship him just the right way.

from what I can find, MediaTek specializes in smartphone processors, similarly to Qualcomm's Snapdragon processors. I don't know anything about Chrome OS but I can easily assume that this is the "laptop equivalent" of Mac OS like how Android is the "phone equivalent" of iOS. Wonder if him wanting to play games was the true deciding factor on all of this.

Probably because Chromebooks are "cheap" as far as laptops go, so it more easily allows Louie to feed his electronics addiction. But then he gets fairly decent laptops like MacBooks which are typically more powerful and capable machines, and even then it's never good enough to satisfy Louie. Seriously, the guy needs an intervention.

I disagree, people with BPD who are really fucking shitty to deal with still usually want people to be around them all the time. They cut people off when they refuse to help them yes, but saying "if you say im hear to help, go fuck yourself" is pretty counter productive to someone allegedly having an intense fear of being abandonded by everyone around them. Narcissists on the other hand are more likely to cut people off because they feel people aren't treating them as well as they believe they should be. Lou feels he is above most, if not all people around him. He sees no problem in not working and just getting everyone else to pay for everything he wants and when he is told he's wrong, he makes a big deal about how he's the victim in this and how everyone else is the one in the wrong.

If Lou was a BPD sociopath, he would have a hell of a lot more legitimate suicide attempts under his belt for one and likely would be posting evidence of any self harm online for extra pity. But he doesn't, because it's all talk. He baits and acts like he's gonna hurt himself but in reality he's just trying to get people to give him some positive attention and affirm his beliefs so he can keep going about his life with the sense that he is indeed better than everyone else.

I love you ChiccyPiccy, but there's a reason one of the most famous books about BPD is called "I Hate You--Don't Leave Me".

The thing is though I don't really believe Lou fears abandonment that much. I know he has tweeted out some stuff before like "please don't abandon me" etc, but I guess it's a little hard to tell what's legit and what's just a grab at getting more attention.

What really doesn't add up to me with the whole armchair diagnosis of Lou's mental state is he obviously shows the symptoms of lack of impulse control, black and white thinking and unstable relationships with others that are pretty common in BPD, but outside of these symptoms the rest of Lou's behaviour just really doesn't add up to me. I say this whilst taking into account the theories of different presentations of BPD- the overt, outward acting form that most people know and the more internalising form of a "quiet borderline" which had less outwardly directed behaviours to other people and instead makes the person likely to direct punishment at themselves in a "everyone will leave me anyway, there's nothing I can do about it" kind of outlook on life. I would say the only way of explaining it all is there being an obvious crossover of traits of multiple personality disorders, as is very common and nothing special, but from a psychological perspective I just can't quite wrap my head around what is actually driving Lou to act the way he does.

Lou's behaviour absolutely reeks of narcissism, sometimes to the point that, due to my own personal experiences with people like that, sometimes his tweets activate some kind of fight or flight response in me because it just sounds so much like people I've come into contact with irl that my brain is like abort. If you compare Lou to someone like Onision, who is so self absorbed he just can't see the wood through the destroyed wetlands in his own back garden, he doesn't have the same "flavour" of you should listen to me, I'm better than them like the Onion Man does, but instead it's this "I deserve to be treated better than everyone else" kind of passive aggressive tone to everything that spills out of Lou's fat gob. He would rather drop hints at how he feels to make everyone do the work for him in patting his ass and saying "you deserve the world, don't listen to those horrible people" so he avoids coming across as completely obnoxious. When the veil slips and he makes comments to others that are just plain disgusting like the judenratt shit or wanting to poke suedeer in her empty eydsocket, at that immediate moment I don't believe Lou actually sees he's said anything wrong- I mean to him these people are deserving of if all, they're below him. But, when the responses to his behaviour start coming in and it makes him look bad, he realises that people aren't gonna view him as highly as he wants because of his behaviour and either has to DFE or attempt to explain it all away to save face.

Narcissists don't fear abandonment, they fear not being seen in the way they view themselves by others, but in a strange twist they have such low self esteem that they need the constant validation of this by other people. In my opinion, Lou isn't afraid of being abandoned by people in the sense that he's being left by them, he's scared of being publicly torn down and people viewing him as a shitty person. He wants to be popular and have that lifestyle may twitter famous people have where they have endless amounts of praise and worship from their followers and thinks if he just found the correct identity- the correct name, or species- then everything will fall into place. But unfortunately, because of his narcissism blinding him to how shitty his own actions are, he can't go but sabotage his own attempts at everything. So, in a last ditch attempt, he turns on the pity party and acts like he's gonna kill himself because he knows it will garner at least some kind of positive response from the few enablers he has.

Basically TLDR: Lou doesn't care that people are gonna leave him, he cares that people are leaving him because they think he's a bad person. He doesn't want to be alone because he wouldn't get enough validation from other people to satisfy his cripplingly low self esteem and will happily cut off anyone who isn't going to fill the role of putting him up on the pedestal he feels he deserves.
