I know this is in pastadome, but who on this website actually has buyer's remorse? Everyone that voted for Biden among the cadre here (of which I did not) knew he was pretty shit, bog-standard bog-creature... and they just preferred that to Trump. I know that might sound strange, but given that he was down eight million or so votes, might be more common than you think.

I see this shit brought up all over the place, social signaling akin to listing your pronouns, yet I can't think of a single instance of anyone on this site being surprised that Biden's admin has done what Biden's admin has done. It comes off as cope eternal.

I hate "bog standard." The fuck does that mean? Maybe if I knew its derivation, it would annoy me less, but as I suspect almost all the people unthinkingly repeating it have no notion of its meaning beyond "more syllables to mean common," I doubt this would mollify my loathing much.

I don't get that, either. People say I have buyer's remorse... I don't. I am not 100% agreeing with everything Biden has done, but I agree with more of what he's done than what Trump would've done and did.

I think it's more MAGA cult coping, too

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

Biden won the primaries by not being Bernie and won the election by not being Trump. If you vote for someone based on what he isn't, don't get annoyed when you discover what he is.
