Not derailing the thread, but:
Now, not all women want this for several reasons and THAT. IS. FINE. I have a lot of female friends who have chosen to not have kids or get married and have very fulfilling careers and a lot of friends instead and they are perfectly happy with their decisions. More power for them.
But this isn't June's case. She has neither the family (or even the boyfriend) or the job and social circle. She's made her life the internet to the point that her work IS the internet. Her job is being an internet figure and all her life circles around being a pseudo-celebrity that needs to live up to the standards that she has created for herself in her mind.
Does this mean that she'd be happy being a married woman with children? We don't know, but I personally don't think it would be the case. She'd get bored quickly and see the family and kids as an inconvenience because they don't let them spend all her time online shitposting.
But the sad reality is that while she doesn't want a family, she needs one. Or, rather, she needs someone to put her boundaries and handle her life because she's stupid. The kind of husband she needs is a man who tells her "no, June, sending nudes to strangers is bad, don't do it", a man who takes care of EVERY SINGLE RESPONSIBILITY in the relationship while she does some minor chores that any twelve years old could do as well. And you know what? Most men who are old enough to be dating Shoe don't want that kind of relationship.
About Greg being sexist, I don't think that's the case either. I think that what kept them together is that Greg was doing exactly what I mentioned above, handling Shoe. And their language was just part of the roleplaying of him being the man. And the reason they fell apart was that Greg also realised this kid doesn't need a husband but a parent and he didn't want that. As much as a lolcow he can be, he's grown a bit from what he was ten years ago and now he's away from Shoe, you can tell.
I agree. The notion that women are "happier as baby machines" is laughable because that's not the case and it's a misinterpretation of the statistical fact that women, ON AVERAGE, are happier being married and having babies. And this doesn't involve that the ONLY job of the woman will be getting pregnant and make meals. It only means that this type of environment is better for an adult women to prosper as a person. Many women are part of the workforce and have a family and they manage to do both well.Calm down lol. It's fun to laugh at shoe0nhead for being retarded, but if you're not getting why "women are happier as baby machines" is laughable and equally retarded-sounding, I don't know what to tell you.
