Community Tard Baby General (includes brain dead kids) - Fundies and their genetic Fuckups; Parents of corpses in denial

the video of her "playing" is deeply disturbing - it's plain to see that she's having seizures while the mom coos at her and tells her she's doing a good job. I'm having Jaxon Buell flashbacks
I saw the video and I felt really bad for the kid. The kid went face down to the toys and the mom is "oh no, get up get up" nad just recording how her kid "playing"

Found the mom's Facebook page - seems like it's not exactly the same conditions as the Hartley's, but similar enough. You have to wonder why they decided to have a second kid within 2 years of the first, without being sure it wouldn't happen again? 🤷‍♀️ And good god, the video of her "playing" is deeply disturbing - it's plain to see that she's having seizures while the mom coos at her and tells her she's doing a good job. > so pitiful and adorable

Rot in hell, lady.

At least Charlie and Syndney's mom seems to be taking proper care of them in regards to getting them good nutrition and meds as mentioned above. It also seems like she isn't constantly shoving them in embarrassing costumes, dragging them out to public places, or posting about them shitting everywhere and other gross unnecessary shit.

It's kinda sus that she decided to have another right after the first kid was fucked up, and she does whore them out on social media, but for now she doesn't seem like nearly the horrorshow Gwen is.

It’s amazing how many siblings are born within a year of so baby number one’s birth because the mothers don’t really take birth control warnings seriously or think breast feeding will hold off another pregnancy. It’s why OBGYNs discuss birth control at the one month post-partum visit, but women still don’t take it seriously.

I know at least four women who were all pregnant again within six months of baby number one for this reason. They absolutely were not ready for or planning on baby number two so soon.

I also think when the first kid is fucked up there’s a secret inclination to have another quickly in hopes it will be the perfect healthy baby they wanted. This is dangerous if doctors are telling you the first baby’s issues appear to be genetic in nature, but idiots have a way of doing what they want and ignoring that yucky science.

I have zero doubt the Narcissistic Empath had baby Atlas because Luna has a cyst filled skull. The bitch knew Luna’s issue wasn’t genetic, because she caused it with her dumb water birth, so she was gung ho to squirt out a more photogenic baby with a functioning brain. (Not gung ho enough to opt for a hospital birth, but that’s just because she’s an ignorant cunt who puts belief in woo BS above the well being of her children.)

I know a couple women that chose to terminate accidental pregnancies that were so close from their last one (and no they weren't traumatized, it was an "oh shit, we messed up" moment).

Fundies and woo moms always talk about their "miracles" all being so close together but then get shocked when they are too weak to physically care for their babies themselves or the baby is born with issues!

A lot of doctors recommend waiting at least a year between children/ pregnancies because of the risk to the fetus and the hell that the mothers body will go through. Plus the baby is now at a much higher risk of:
  • Premature birth
  • The placenta partially or completely peeling away from the inner wall of the uterus before delivery (placental abruption)
  • Low birth weight
  • Congenital disorders

Yeah I've always heard having a baby right after you just had one isnt healthy and it's best to wait a year or two between kids. Lord only knows the Duggars and other Quiverfull types are a great example of why it's not a great idea to treat yourself like a breeder dog at a puppy mill.

Abortion was out of the question, but from the sounds of it she was induced early. Isnt that basically an abortion?

Definitely the face of a proud and joyful mother! Definitely not disgusted by this monster she decided to birth just to let die!

Sure, Jan.

More like born twitching and gasping before passing away. The baby is far too underdeveloped to ever be able to cry and the body was likely responding to pain.
Can fetuses that early even feel pain? I remember hearing somewhere that ability to feel pain doesn't happen until pretty late in gestation and that some super preemies don't have it.

It sounds like she had labor induced to spare it from suffering further but those pics. Why. That thing looks like something you would find in a school lunch.

The hormonal response to pain is seen at earliest 18 weeks, ability to percieve pain is believed to occur around 26 weeks. So though there is no way to know if between 18 to 26 weeks a fetus can percieve pain their body makes all the mechanical features that show a response to pain.

Technically speaking, any failed pregnancy is an abortion, but yes, this sounds like a medically induced abortion. She probably meant she didn't want a D&C, which most hospitals won't do after a certain gestation anyway because of the moral implications.

Can't say I see anything wrong with her case. She didn't carry baby to term or anything; she was induced early enough for baby to be considered non viable, therefore not able to be resuscitated and forced to possibly live for a few days, months, whatever its condition would permit. Instead, it was able to pass away quickly. Better for it and the parents in the long run.

At least Sydney and Charlie appear healthier and happier than the Hartleys - just quickly skimming through the instagram, these kids appear to be getting proper nutrition, medications, immunizations, and simple home therapies (PT/OT).

I don't have much sympathy for parents who have more than 1 ~medically complex~ child. Not when you live in a developed nation with access to genetic counselling/prenatal screening/abortion. Why not just wait a few years to have a second child? Get your genomes sequenced and rule out any weird heritable mutations, before bringing another poor microcephalic into the world? Such a dangerous and selfish gamble.

One exception to that is when they have further children before they know the earlier child is disabled.

There was a family like this in my old town, who had 3 kids with Batten Disease, and their type didn't have symptoms until the kids were school-age. They had a singleton, followed by identical twins a couple years later, and they just had no idea at all until the oldest child was in early elementary school and began going blind. Apparently they were mentally and physically relatively normal until they were in their teens, and then those functions started to decline as well. All of them lived into their 20s, and were able to stay at home with the aid of visiting nurses.

Their gravestone says "BATTEN DISEASE TOOK OUR THREE ANGELS."

Batten is a sad scary one it can hit at any age pretty much:

Also, the actual brain regions and connections to be 'aware' of pain as pain likely aren't done cooking. It'd be cool to see if newborns can fully differentiate itch vs pain.

Definitely steroids. Heroic amounts of steroids, probably. But also, these brainless kids can’t move, so they hardly burn any of the calories they’re given. Their metabolisms must be almost zero.

And I’m sure most doctors DO largely see these kids as a lost cause. They’re just not allowed to have much of an opinion about it.

It should be against the law to apply makeup to potato babies.

I guess it was the pictures and the claim that it was supposedly born alive and breathing that kinda freaked me out. Fetuses that aren't fully cooked are pretty freaky looking, ngl.

Given how fucked up it sounded (missing a stomach and intestines and other shit) yeah, you're probably right that she did the right thing by yeeting it before it developed further and got increased ability to feel pain and shit.

Still weird as fuck looking in pictures tho.

She basically had an abortion but I guess they handled the matter very delicately so she believed it was “the best chance at a natural birth” or whatever. It looks like they just induced her at 31 weeks or whatever. This is very similar to how late term abortions are performed because the baby is too large for the types of procedures they do before 20 weeks. Some women going through late term abortions (which are almost always performed due to not compatible with life Dx) don’t want to hold or see the baby so they don’t have to go the full L&D route, but if they do? This is pretty much how the procedure unfolds.

Maybe this how some hospitals can get around late term abortion bans for non-viable fetuses? They just classify it early induction for medical reasons. Women have had to fly a thousand miles and pay $20k to end a wanted pregnancy of a non-compatible with life fetus anytime after 22 weeks, so maybe a few hospitals realized this was insane and got a bit crafty with how they classified certain procedures...but could never actually admit this was the case but can delicately propose an “early induced delivery” option in these sad situations on a case by case basis?

I know a couple women that chose to terminate accidental pregnancies that were so close from their last one (and no they weren't traumatized, it was an "oh shit, we messed up" moment).

Make sense. Most women who have abortions in the USA are already mothers of one or more children. They have abortions because they are concerned about adequately caring for the children they already have. I’m sure it’s very common, but because in the USA if you tell anyone you are having an abortion there’s a significant chance a church group will show up at your door yelling baby killer and starting a vigil. So the oops pregnancies you generally hear about are the ones the mother carried to term. If they chose to have an abortion very few, if any people, would ever know about it.

I can add that the four cases I know of with an “oops baby” that occurred with one year of the first baby the parents ended up divorced by the time the oldest was in pre-school. On top of the difficulties of successive pregnancies on a woman’s body, the sheer stress and difficulties of having “Irish twins” can doom marriages if isn’t already strong and stable. First babies are a tough adjustment for a couple and immediately compounding that with another baby makes it far harder.
A older lady I knew had Irish twins and told me her husband basically just moved back to his parents home for three years because he couldn’t tolerate the lack of sleep. He moved back once the youngest was 2.5. I have to think she resented the fuck out of him for doing that, but this occurred in the 1960’s when nobody expected fathers to do any baby care)

Nature tries to prevent it by decreasing fertility while breast feeding. Evolutionary biologists have theorized infants being so demanding was also a way of preventing a sibling coming along too soon to compete for finite resources. If mom and dad are tired from caring for a infant that only sleeps three hours at a time and cries a lot they have less time and energy for sex, so less likely a new baby will come along to compete for milk and attention and therefore more likely baby 1 survives.

Jesus christ, it's all about her. "All my needs and wants" were met. Also, that baby looks severely undercooked.
