They didn't bother to do b-plots, not really much for character development. It's fine for what it is -- popcorn. Very watchable and easy to just watch, but there's not much to it. I couldn't see myself rewatching it.

For real, excellent sci-fi television people might have overlooked I highly recommend Farscape and Babylon 5.

I played the Star Wars Bounty Hunter game back when it came out and I have this exact thought every time I watch the show. On some level it's like childhood wish fulfillment, which I actually appreciate at this point, but you're absolutely right.

I actually like the Star Wars Thrawn books written by Timothy Zahn. He's a really cool guy if you ever get the chance to meet him and his books don't focus on any gay force/jedi autism.
