Matter of fact, that does make me wonder why the rest don't use similar setups as the ID crew. Their quality as entertainers might not be to everyone's preferences, especially depending on the girl, but their stream layouts and especially notification setups are admirable. It was a little surprising when the ID Gen 2 crew debuted with layouts that seemed far more technically competent than EN's.

Yeah, I had originally thought that the reason why the ID girls use Streamlabs donations is because they can't use Youtube superchats. But I'm watching Moona's stream right now and there's a Youtube superchat donation button under her chat.

IIRC, someone (might have even been Ollie/Moona ) mentioned that Indonesian Tax Laws (or one of the other SEA countries) have some bullshit prevent them from using superchats, and the system is just outright missing for them. Streamlabs is the only way for the natives to donate. And of course, it ends up fucking the ID crew because the Youtube algorithm uses Superchat Earnings in some capacity for whatever bullshit black magic they do. That part was made known because of Coco when she was pushing to use Stream Labs company wide, and got shot down.

Regarding posts about thread quality in the past few pages: meta-posting should be avoided. That huge, long spergout about the Commietuber was organic even if dude has some bizarre agenda and easily ignored, especially with the spolier. Drawing up a treaty to combat the proliferation of hugboxness is manufactured and shits up everybody's posts. Post what you think fits in thread, don't cry too much about what other people are posting and if the thread turning into a hugbox makes you cry, I would be more than happy to share the cringiest of hug and headpat emotes with all the frens while we talk about how cute our pet rrats are.

I've heard the "no context" argument, but I think there's plenty of context to a lot of what I've seen. The most I could argue against a lot of the translated screenshots and video clips is that it's of course translated by Taiwanese who would bias what's being said. There's more out there that Artia was a total CCP shill and a cunt then there is evidence to the contrary. Along with HoloCN's behavior and action, or lack there of during this, is damning enough. Especially Artia and Civia who were the first and main 2, with Rosalyn being the 3rd to push to the Bilibili crowd that they had a deal to take that month's donation money and their avatars. Hell, that shit no matter how you look at it, was a guilt trip that Cover didn't fall for.

tl;dr I think a lot of it is valid, if biased against Chinese when it comes to translating minute details. No one at HoloCN except Yogiri did anything to come off as even remotely endearing and Artia and Civia made a contest out of who could make things worse for themselves, which Artia won. So I have no reason to give them any kind of benefit, when Taiwanese are busy trying to break the news they're all terrible bugmen. If anything, this shit's even funnier as it's China vs. Taiwan over who can steer the EOPs.

As for thread culture, uh, meta talk's stupid and I tend to ignore it. Ultimately a lot of people here enjoy the vtubers they watch and that's fine. Like Hololive for example doesn't even produce drama, more so drama finds them by way of others. the most drama is shit that happens in Niji we will never hear about or EN Vtubers.

Evidence was circumstantial at best the entire time through. It is what made me even remotely want to look deeper since I have a personal vendetta against that people running with that kind of thing. I have no illusion that she doesn't support the CCP, but there is a massive difference between being a schill and a leader. One is simply sad, the other should die. Like I said though, I went through every page I could and once I organically got to the 'evidence' pages that were traditionally held up on reddit or a chan. . . it just got murky. Some language just started changing (even through translation), dates didn't add up, etc. . .

It really all adds to bullshit no matter how you slice it. I had my boy try their hand because they speak the lingo (Parents are CCP Refugees so the bias slices opposite) and it still wasn't damning really. I'm just chalking it up to an up a creek without a paddle and making the wrong decision to try to keep a base that really didn't care for you in the first place. It aligns with what Artia said in every stream since this crap went down, and it makes sense in long term. Either you believe the worst in people or you try to see the best.

Look, I'm just trying to bring another side to the whole thing. If it became clear the bitches were in the chats spamming alongside the insects? Sure, roast them.
