There are different kinds of suffering, and they affect different people in different ways. A person who spent their formative years in poverty but had a solid support structure emotionally and grew up to thrive would view Phil's life differently than a person who grew up wanting nothing but receiving little emotional support. There is suffering from without and suffering from within, and in spite of the dozens of people who attempt to troll him on a daily basis I don't think Phil experiences much of the former.I tend to disagree. He seems miserable as fuck to me. He is married and spends many nights arguing with haters on Twitter until late at night, probably drunk. That's not the behavior of someone who is happy and in a healthy relationship.
And not to mention his severe addiction to gacha and the anxiety that he probably has if he did in fact lie in his bankruptcy documents about his business expenses.
Oh, and he also has zero friends. Zero male friends he can talk to. Only his circus of rejects is there to talk to and laugh at him.
Phil's not in the absolute bottom simply because he's still making money. With money, he can run away from these real needs and substitute them with worthless shit like gacha, eating restaurant food etc.
I do absolutely think he is miserable, but I think nearly all of that comes from inside his own head.
