Nuts in food, except for baclava, are always optional.Walnuts ruin brownies.
They're very waxy and oily. They are a lot worse than they were 30 years ago.Hostest cupcakes are too damn sweet and taste like chemicals. That is all.
Same the other way around. Chinese food and soda mask their sodium content with sugar.Adding salt to sweet things is wrong.
My grandma used to make a frosting that was even sweeter than buttercream. I don't know why she always made it, because I'm the only one who could have more than a small bite of it without getting nauseous. All the more for me, though.Buttercream frosting is too sweet and too heavy. Whipped cream frosting is infinitely better.
I think it mostly depends on the food. You can definitely strike up a good balance between salty and sweet, such as chocolate covered pretzels.Adding salt to sweet things is wrong.
A pinch of salt can actually give sweetness a bit more legs without actually increasing the sugar contentI think it mostly depends on the food. You can definitely strike up a good balance between salty and sweet, such as chocolate covered pretzels.
Whipped frosting is the only one I can eat ngl.Buttercream frosting is too sweet and too heavy. Whipped cream frosting is infinitely better.
And Cadbury has started going downhill in quality now they're owned by some American company, not even British chocolate brands are safe.american chocolates all taste like disgusting sugary plastic, doesn't matter which brand, they don't taste or feel like chocolate
Just get Lindt stuff I guess, or look at local chocolatiers/confectioners.And Cadbury has started going downhill in quality now they're owned by some American company, not even British chocolate brands are safe.
What about that ammonia salt they add to some licorice? I'm ok with salted licorice but the ammonia stuff is a no go. Although I personally like coconut filling, covered by licorice, and then chocolate. Sadly it's hard to find here in the US.Surströmming and other fermented fish things are really good. I really like salted licorice as well.
