Bruh. ¿why people always bring the worst examples of people going rogue in the wild? Not saying that the people of ruby and Waco deserve what happened to them, but they're were truly demented people and their shit was going to end bad regardless of the feds. Gotta love how people always ignored Jones ( example of feds no taking shit seriously enough) and heaven's gate ( feds knowing jack shit about them until their dead)

There may be more to the AF-FBI connection as Baked Alaska says he is going to get off on all of his charges. Baked say he is going to get off because the FBI said that he "encouraged people not to break things in the capitol building". Baked says that he will be streaming in a couple of months and doing RV7. Not only that but that he is moving to Russia because "Its based and they hate gay people". He think that because of this they will allow him to mace people and storm federal buildings

Jones was a serious Machiavellian schemer, and made himself too useful to the political machine in his area (some of whose members are still some of America's most famous national politicians), while also cloaking himself in the wokisms they loved to promote. He's actually a good example to use against leftist authoritarianism, and it's scary to think of how much further he might take the same cult bs in modern times.
As far as Heaven's Gate, I don't think the feds can be blamed for not knowing anything about them. They were pre internet saturation days, non-political, and didn't do anything notable til their Hale Bobb mass suicide (tho this does make me wonder when their website came online. Was it before Hale Bobb?)

Heaven's Gate was pioneering in their use of the Internet, in fact they made some money designing websites. Their site was active for some time before the suicide although it was obscure even for the standards of the time. The really interesting thing is that it's still maintained by cult members who weren't allowed to join in the suicide for the very purpose of keeping the site up. They'll even answer your emails.

tbf Nick has advised the majority of his audience to do exactly this. AFPAC is for people who want to get more directly involved. You do need people like that in a political movement. That said, I agree with Patrick that it's a bad idea right now.

While he may have once focused on this advice, it gets lost in the endless dross of bad examples he's shown in both words and actions over at least the past year of chasing and maintaining his eceleb popularity. It basically all comes down to him wanting to play at being a serious thinker and leader of a serious movement, but being too young, dumb and weak to be good leadership material. He should've stuck to just being commentary entertainment
