Our mistake was allowing the media (and butthurt children) to believe their opinions mattered to us at all, and (more importantly) allowing employers and business people to fear them, leading them to ridiculous overreactions when an outrage swarm starts buzzing.

Because this bullshit has gone on long enough. There are a great many things that a person can say or do that can be "misconstrued" as a suicidal utterance. However it is not our job to diagnose the mental illness so we would report it and defer it to those who are. We are just the " mandated reporters". Its up to professional to formally assess them and they would be the ones to baker act him. All we would be doing is reporting some as exhibiting possible self harming behavior , altered mental state, a danger to himself or making comments that could be misconstrued.

Perhaps they would just warn him that calls like that will be seen as a self harming or mentally incompetent thing to do and that if they happen again that an evaluation should and will take place. He can be classified as an adult in danger and could possible be given a guardian to properly oversee him because mama yaniv is no help at all

It is not like we would be the ones to put him under lock and key. He obviously needs mental help and this is one way of getting it for him. This is how we get him mandated to receive some professional help and to get him properly diagnosed.

Obviously we would do the nuisance caller thing. But its good to have a backup plan to make sure he understands what calling 911 falsely can unleash. He lives in an apartment building so they can't just ignore his entire address. He could be a great harm to others if a fire starts so we would still have to go on respond him for a fire and such. Now that he has been formally warned, you know he will buckle down and do more fuckery. Its best to have a multi faceted plan when dealing with fuckery.

We don't have time for fuckery when we have other people who really do need our help. Its best to hand him off to professional hands.

If you're going to casually break the law to make your job slightly easier, do it in a way that'll only get you a slap on the wrist. If you're going to be a complete idiot and commit serious felonies because you're too lazy and stupid to do your job properly, at least be smart enough to do it by yourself and not include colleagues who might break under pressure and admit what you did, because if you ever do something this stupid you are risking the kind of sentences armed robbers and kidnappers would get.

Once again, reporting him for being endangered, mentally impaired or such is an appropriate action. He has called 911 dozens of times in just a few weeks. That would indicate that something should be done. Simply fining him and denying him service could give him cause to say his rights are being violated or he is being discriminated against.

By bringing in mental health professions, we would be doing the right thing. Lets say a person is obese and was falling on the floor everyday ( or needed help to the bathroom) and was acting in an unusual way but was refusing to go to the hospital and just wanted us to pick him up everyday. This would not be allowed to continue. Obviously something is wrong there. Either medical or mental help is needed.

We are not the daily pick me up service. We will pick you up a few times and after that you probably need professional care, hired help or equipment. It is our job to get patients to the proper care professionals and in this case, it is to a mental health professional.

There is a scarcity of beds on mental health wards. There is no danger he would be locked away forever or be committed as a punitive thing.

Nor is there a any danger of us getting a felony charge because we act in good faith. We would not completely make up him saying something. We listen carefully and he would be the one who makes crazy statements. He always does. Its just a matter of us documenting it and turning it over to professionals.

Its not "depriving him of his liberty", its getting him the professional help he needs and is absolutely appropriate.

Canadian transgender activist Jessica Yaniv is in the news again. This time, she’s accused of sexually harassing firefighters and abusing emergency services, according to a letter written by the counsel representing the Township of Langley.

Yaniv, 34, who now goes by “Jessica Simpson,” was given a notice by the British Columbia city that she would be billed for emergency services following over thirty frivolous 911 calls she made since Jan. 21. The Township also accuses her of engaging in “inappropriate and lewd conduct.”

“Your conduct has created, among other things, an inappropriate and unsafe environment for Fire Department staff,” the letter reads. “This letter serves as formal notice to you that you will be charged under the Township’s bylaws, including the Township’s Fire Prevention Bylaw, for all future calls for assistance to the Fire Department that do not relate to a medical emergency.”

Yaniv retaliated on Twitter, accusing the Township of transphobia. She says she was in the bathtub when she needed emergency help and denies engaging in lewd conduct.

“Guess you guys don’t like trans vaginas,” Yaniv tweeted on Feb. 5. “Just so you’re all aware, I’ll be suing the township for libel and other things.”

Yaniv gained international recognition when she filed over a dozen complaints in 2018 and 2019 accusing salon beauticians of gender identity discrimination after staff refused to wax her scrotum. The British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal ruled that Yaniv’s initial complaints were “disingenuous and self-serving.”

Since then, she has continued filing more complaints alleging human rights violations. In October 2020, Yaniv filed a complaint against a women’s beauty pageant for not allowing her to participate.

More recently, she has taken to social media to discuss her sex reassignment surgery in graphic detail. On Feb. 11, Yaniv posted up-close graphic photos of her genitals, which appeared to be swollen and discharging liquid. “[D]oes this look normal? There’s some hyper-granulation tissue in my vagina but what’s that big slit under / to the right of it?” she asked.

Yaniv has not responded to The Post Millennial’s request for comment.
