A lot of them come from CalArts or they are heavily inspired by Steven Univers or any crap CN pumps out these days. That's one of the explanations there are out there. The other is that they just streamline the process as much as they can in order to make stuff as fast as possible for extra asspats. It's dumb to write this observation after 1918 pages of this crap, but the more SJW art I see, the more confused I get. Did 98% of them learn to draw their shite from the same place or what? You could make a gigantic compilation without revealing artists' names, and easily pass it as drawings done by the same person or two-three people.
Well, not all people come from CalArts, People come from SVA, People come from Gobelins, and people from every art school they attend to, not just CalArts, they teached animation in art schools as well.A lot of them come from CalArts or they are heavily inspired by Steven Univers or any crap CN pumps out these days. Rebecca Sugar came from SVA, but it doesn't negate that the style Steven Universe uses is commonly considered the "CalArts style."Well, not all people come from CalArts, People come from SVA, People come from Gobelins, and people from every art school they attend to, not just CalArts, they teached animation in art schools as well.
If they could provide evidence that aphrodite is dark skinned in mythology I’d be happy to hear it, but where the fuck did they pull this out of?Still not sjw art per se, but tired of zines creating problems where there shouldn't be to make their monthly woke quota. Like stfu she's white. Now let's get ready for 50 pages of blackwashed hades characters, as it wasn't already a problem in the community

Their desperation for GENUINE PEE OH SEEIf they could provide evidence that aphrodite is dark skinned in mythology I’d be happy to hear it, but where the fuck did they pull this out of?
I'm very amused by how much european myths and culture they try to """"""DIVERSIFY"”"""""" but won't try promoting or making actual non-white culture representation. Like seriously where are the African tribe aesthetics or mythos or whatever zines from these bitches if they care so much about minorities (always about blacks most of the time)?Their desperation for GENUINE PEE OH SEE
This specifically about the character of Aphrodite from the game "Hades" but the character is very obviously white and they're putting this statement just for woke points. If they could provide evidence that aphrodite is dark skinned in mythology I’d be happy to hear it, but where the fuck did they pull this out of?
Edit: also fucking “canon” its mythology, it can be interpreted however you wish
Nigga, Aphrodite is the goddess of love. And that's what most people knows of in face value of the mythos.Still not sjw art per se, but tired of zines creating problems where there shouldn't be to make their monthly woke quota. The hairless one is on right sideYeah the one on the left is cute, wtf is going on with the right? Makes me think of thisView attachment 1920209
Nya Chan doesn't deserve this. There's literally nothing indicating a relation to the original outside of maybe the pink hair. At least Totoko looks recognizable outside of a bit of weight added on.
Thing is, those cats are actually adorable.Yeah the one on the left is cute, wtf is going on with the right? Makes me think of thisView attachment 1920209
I want so badly for some super-white shitlord to make a genuine African fairy tale popular, so SJWs' brains implode trying to figure out whether or not to cancel it for cultural appropriation or praise it for actually having black characters.I'm very amused by how much european myths and culture they try to """"""DIVERSIFY"”"""""" but won't try promoting or making actual non-white culture representation. I like how they specifically made the character half naked so they could draw fat rolls and stretch marks, while simultaneously drawing the character so she looks uncomfortable being half naked in the first place. It just calls attention to it being a cheap grab at uwu body positivity shit that doesnt fit with the character she's drawing
I mean, we've all seen what they did to ATLAI want so badly for some super-white shitlord to make a genuine African fairy tale popular, so SJWs' brains implode trying to figure out whether or not to cancel it for cultural appropriation or praise it for actually having black characters.
Actually little more complicated because myths have long canons that change depending on time and place. Most myths have multiple versions that portray gods different levels of righteousness and what values were seen good at time. Aphrodite could be jealous and petty just like other gods, but that didn't mean they weren't better than people and looked up for who they were. In greek most gods were specialized to a place or job. That ment that most people didn't worship most gods, but Aphrodite was one of the most commonly worshiped gods. Most people enjoy and desire love and beauty so most people did look her for guidance and blessings. She was most certainly seen as embodiment wonders of love and it's positive sides, not just a petty bitch using and abusing men.Nigga, Aphrodite is the goddess of love. And that's what most people knows of in face value of the mythos.
She'll bang anything as long as you're not more 'beautiful' than her (read: actually jealous of her looks) and not her husband, Hepheastus.
She's also the vilest attention whore in the whole mythology, because she wants the spotlight always on her. She started wars all to be declared the prettiest, cursing mortals in envy who wishes to be pretty, and even cursing her own husband just because she decided to not like one of her jewellery she has in her collection. She even steals men (and women) from time to time, and forces her husband to watch the rape-adultery.
She was the personification of the Greeks seeing their own women using the looks and charisma to get sex, and uses their appearances to ruin's someone life. Love and beauty can be vindictive and manipulative at times, and it shows with Aphrodite. Love/Beauty is not always pure.
Even if shes reduced to a 'meeker' version in Hades, it's still Aphrodite. But no sane man (and woman) would want to get near a morbidly obese hambeast, a man with a wound on his crotch, or some mentally ill person. These do not radiate love, beauty, and charisma to charm people in, and most people know on sight to not bother with something that will obviously hurt them.
Well Song of the south has the animal characters that are pretty popular in Europe and they are black fairy tales characters. Disney based that movie on fairy tales told slaves and you can find that many of these stories have African versions. The slaves just changed the animals and other creatures to ones they were around in the new world. Disney had grown up with a collection of these stories and he wanted to show these stories to new kids that might not know about the old black culture and how fun it could be. Witch was pretty awesomely progressive for it's time.I want so badly for some super-white shitlord to make a genuine African fairy tale popular, so SJWs' brains implode trying to figure out whether or not to cancel it for cultural appropriation or praise it for actually having black characters.
Well, slavs are POC now, or so I've heard. Can be used as de jure work-around.Still not sjw art per se, but tired of zines creating problems where there shouldn't be to make their monthly woke quota.
