I agree overall. Trump’s Republican Party is literally exactly what strategists analyzing Romney’s loss were begging for; more minorities, more engagement with low propensity working class voters and high enthusiasm. He just got there by a class based message; one that’s tied to his brand now, for better or worse.

The untold story of the 2020 election was how the “‘most racist president in history” carried, for a Republican anyway, historic proportions of the black and Hispanic votes. Even in urban strongholds and ancestrally dem voting areas of West Texas. McConnell is a literal fool if he thinks he can jettison Trump wholesale and still keep his coalition, and could only be stupider if he thinks that the GOP doesn’t need that broader coalition to have even the barest fucking prayer of keeping the party relevant over the next few decades.

Stuffy suburbanites broke for Biden because they were most susceptible to the media social desirability campaign. People who were already marginalized social outsiders turned out for Trump in droves.

People talk about how the Dem’s are in a position of power, and they really are. They’re going to fight election integrity and force through as many rule changes as possible to secure 2022 and 2024, but the Covid mail-in surge did not create permanent DNC voters, and now that the Trump spell is broken and moderates and soft left leaners realize that they just voted in the consummate corporate puppet, there’s a huge chunk of people up for play who could be swayed by a populist message. People close to me not one week after the election literally fucking apologized for voting Biden, once they saw him stack his cabinet with corporate board members. The way through to those people is not bending over for the corporate/political establishment, like McConnell is doing, even if it’s the only thing he knows how to do.

People who hate Trump aren’t going to like you just for distancing yourself from him. They still fucking hate you. There is no need to be so public about it. It’s not as hard as McConnell thinks to appeal to the people who didn’t care for Trump while keeping the people that Trump brought into the fold, but he’s determined to fuck it up. That, and the people writing his checks are literally doing everything in their power to keep someone like Trump, but less abrasive from winning power.
That's what I mean Trump won a couple of blue areas of Texas. That alone keeping Trump's message and my predictions that many maga people who live in blue states will be moving to Texas and Florida. That Texas can still be maintained as a red state.
Ohio and Florida becuase of Trump are morphing from purple states to full on red states.

That's what I mean McConnell is a retard if he thinks he can just throw all of Trump's hardwork and accomplishments away. That his party will still be strong for elections.

Some Monday Morning shit.

As for 2024....

The problem with comedy is the really creative ones are anti PC. Its transgressive and often plays with the taboo.

One joke I always liked was
"What do you call five crows having sex?"
"A fucking murder."

Thats a funny joke but since crows are black it would be canceled.
For being anti black.

So they re left with the bombs and duds cause of their constant purity testing.

As for those talking about extremism having no ppace in America? They need to realize this nation was created by puritians, moral crusaders and other firebrand types. Being extreme is a major part of American psychology and legacy
Comedy has been dogshit for the last decade easily. It'll go back to the awful shit we got during the Obama years. So not much will change really. The only comedians I see remaining good are Bo Burnham and Norm Macdonald. Burnham because he typically steers clear of political themes unless it's for a really good joke, and Norm because he can make anything funny.

It's probably not making the news like it should but another reason for all the wuflu stuff to keep going is politicians can't do their town halls where they would get assblasted six ways to Sunday. Even Pierre Delecto will have all those people who made fun of him at the airport shit on him in a Salt Lake gym and have him fail to defend himself, or that Creepo Kinzinger in Illinois would say he's glad his family disowned him.

Americas aristorcrats have bannafied the republic so they can get a dementia patient into office.
We now think little boys who dont wear dresses as shameful misfits and weird.

Comedy can only exist in a world thats hasnt gone full retard.

tbh the Utah GOP turning on Mittens, after all the hoopla around McMuffin in 2016 and their general case of the vapors regarding Trump would be pretty hilarious.
I remember driving through Salt Lake City post-election and passing a 15 mile long caravan of "Stop the Steal" trucks, they've swung a whole hell of a lot in the past 4 years.

Honestly I mean Trump won Utah very easy in 2016 and 2020. He also won 95% Republicans vote at the RNC. It really is on Mitt Romney for being an ass during his whole time so far as Senator

Sure, but in 2016 it was very much a "He's a boorish dumbass but Hillary's literally Satan, most of us aren't retarded enough to vote 3rd party" vibe from the Utahns I know, in 2020 it was "hell yeah more plz", even with the Mormons.

But that doesn't matter, the 2024 nom is Trump's for the asking, whether that's a good thing for the right or not.

Reading this at first I disagreed, because 3 years is a long time. Heck up til Trump "told people to drink bleach" it seemed like COVID would hand him the election.

But then I thought, "3 years is a long time." 3 years of Trump saying dumb shit but oh wait, they took his Twitter from him.

Now it's 3 years of carefully crafted and professionally written statements and press releases from Trump instead of 3am hot takes. 3 years to make himself look very good.

I also wonder how much of the big Trump swing in Florida was because Ron Desantis cleaned house. This year's election went by super quickly, while just two years ago, Broward spent a week finding ballots in cars, airport terminals, and schools before being cut off by an angry Rick Scott with people protesting the election center. The county map stayed roughly the same, while Trump's percentage lead jumped up.

Also Mcconnell's a retard.

I think Ron DeSantis is doing great down there. The fact that he clean all the mess to avoid election fraud is awsome. I wish he was my governor

I don't think it's true but I want to believe he actually told Biden to go fuck himself in response to these targeted domestic travel bans this administration is pushing against red states.

It’s either that, or look at the political landscape and throw his support behind someone who holds his policies and can advance the agenda he started. Standing up to China is a great start to get on his good side. At the same time, I don’t think /pol/ will accept anyone but Trump himself, but at the same time, he’s done stuff that could have him lose that crowd.

Outside of /ptg/, /pol/ is pretty divided on Trump, mostly from his MIGA stance and lack of effective pro-white legislation. I think if he didn't run it wouldn't be too much of an issue.

Not sure what /ptg/ is, but that’s what I was getting at: they’re pissed they didn’t get the meme projection they saw during the 2015/16 campaign.
