General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Aki's Birthday is coming up in a few hours.

I have to admit, I think the very first Vtuber related videos I saw were hers. Both the translated clips of her talking about her low sub count and being appreciative of her fans, and then the response to the massive influx of subscribers that that clip garnered. So I guess I have her to thank for falling down this rabbit hole.

Well, what I fear is this being similar to last year a Niji losing their channel due to a manager not warning them about strikes against the channel. Altho I doubt it's that with how meticulously they only stream games they have rights for.

Thankfully, she can stream on Twitch for the time being, Miko's about to destroy Twitch.

How the stray cat got a broken arm. To be honest I'm now understand even less.

Speaking of thing beyond my understanding.

I probably haven't read enough of the thread, but it seems the overall consensus regarding Ironmouse's health conditions is that it's more likely than not a serious problem? I would have expected a lot more doubt on them here, but I don't see much of that, even the ones that have some doubt stating that it's partly hypochondria related to other conditions.

Also, did anybody happen to get the full NHK show where Suisei got her ass handed to her by Amemiya twice? I've seen the first round where she misdrops then falls to a Perfect Clear, and a second round where she sets up a DT Cannon, but he whips out a double Perfect Clear instead, but I can't find both of them together, and the reactions in the middle.

Yesterday earthquake made the microwave fell on her right hand while she was sleeping so she had to go to the hospital again.
Science still can't answer why she was sleeping under a microwave but whatever, 10/10 peak stray cat not even trying.

She was sleeping near her microwave when the Earthquake happened.

Microwave fell and broke her arm

I was referring to what I said the other day, and this brought more question than answer such as: Why was the microwave put up that high? What are those creatures on the left side of the picture? Can a cat actually eats bananas?

I think she live in very cramp apartement and the potition of the microwave at top of her refrigerator. She sleep, earthquake happen, bam arm broke.

Anyway, @Takodachi I got something for you. You gonna love it.

I dunno if my expectations for Calli is unfairly high when it comes to Guilty Gear given how much she's professed to loving the game in the past, but she's streaming Guilty Gear Strive right now and is righteously getting her ass kicked by a fucking dolphin girl. If this is any indication of her play even with games she loves, I can't wait until she's able to stream Bloodborne.

pretty sure she was hooked playing Valheim and didn't prep for the stream on time.
The trend I've noticed with her is that her Mondays usually end up being a blank slate given that she hasn't even come up with a stream schedule by then.

Every time I see a clip of Subaru, it is titled "My ____ found out I'm a vtuber."
A lot of her clippers also seem to have graduated from the Oozora Institute of Thumbnail Art:

Bro you’ve spam-reacted like every one of my posts, there’s no way you skipped over that one timely chan report I posted which involved the Rape Express of the Orient. If you somehow missed it, go back and read the post. The tldr is that yes, it really is that few people still on Coco’s ass and yes, they are worse than our (the west’s) collective autism. Maybe at max 10 running off that one github, given the complaining about having to buy youtube accounts to spam with.
Rapes on the Orient Express is now a classic post for me.

I guess we can't get on the bugmen too much. Living in China is a personal hell all its own. I'm sure for many of them, this the only reprieve they have from having to actually face how much their lives suck generally.
I'm completely ignorant on the daily life, but from what I know of the current government, it seems like it'd be like living in a country run like Reddit. Users live or die based on upvotes and karma while Administration can ban your sub on a whim and mods are only interested in keeping the system clanking along long enough that they can get a chance to get the fuck out of there.

More importantly, Korone is playing Mother 2:

Speaking of Twitch. I think I saw Ame and Watame had official Twitch account along with Miko. If YouTube did not pull their head out of their ass Hololive might migrate to Twitch for good if Miko try and like Twitch streaming. Though Twitch chat culture is still retard.

Those aren't official accounts. And the only reason Miko explored streaming on Twitch in the first place is for the Prime-enabled movie watch-alongs. Cover isn't moving to Twitch and risk losing a sizeable chunk of their income from the mainstream YouTube crowd.

Most of the Filipino fans who are affluent enough to have spare cash to splurge/throw on SCs are already simping for the EN gals (Red SCs with Php currency aren't uncommon on Calli, Ame or Gura's streams).

The few Filipino vtubers that are relatively "big" enough to have their own small following of Filipino viewers aren't really popular enough to attract the rest of the mainstream Filipino online trolls - which is where most of the usual "peenoise" and toxicity come from. Their audience are pretty much quarantined and relatively well-behaved (Lyrica's comes to mind) and most of the typical online streaming audience are pretty much fixated on the few Filipino e-thots they find live streaming mobile games on Facebook anyway.
Chipping in my 2 cents as somebody who grew up in PH: the best way to keep the toxicity away from the VTuber community is keep them quarantined on Facebook. Thank goodness they can livestream there because I can confirm majority of PH internet can be pretty childish + toxic. Exhibit A: Haachama's stream got raided a few days ago (last week I believe). As much as I'd like to support PH VTubers, I still haven't found one that's right up my alley and there's also that tiny little feeling in me that wants to gatekeep the rest of PH internet from finding out about VTubers.

Then again, it's not as if the cancerous behaviour is isolated to PH internet users, but it's really cringey when you can understand wtf they're saying.
