I personally think Biden was a sacrifice, he doesn't have much time left so any major attacks or revelations that came during the election wouldn't matter since they were going to rig it and have him replaced by Kopmala in a couple months anyways. This way they can let the fresher ones like butthag wait things out on the sidelines in case things go really bad.
