From my knowledge, the only cysts that are caused by infection tend to be pliodonal (ass crack cysts) and are actually more or less abscesses by any other name.

The patient seems to actually be talking about abcesses, and given the nerve damage yes, it's abscesses. For those who don't know, Cysts are the bodies way of shoving shit it doesn't know what to do with and actually tend to be pretty sturdy while abscesses are pits of dead tissue your body is fighting. A abscess that is cleaned up will probably be turned into a cyst if big enough.

So while we're talking in terms of abscesses, yes, a doctor can be held responsible for abscesses but its rather difficult. You'd have to prove they broke code. Chances are you'd have to sue the hospital for poor sanitation, and that would only work if you got the infection while still in the hospital. At this point, after admitting to having intercourse and breaking open these things repeatedly, there is no way in hell. And the multiple plastic surgeons are weird too. You shouldn't be removing these things. There's nothing to remove. Its like saying you got an infection removed.

I think they keep calling them cysts because of how frequently women get cysts in there, well, everything. But in my unprofessional opinion it seems likely that however the tissue has been set up, it's not able to maintain a sanitary environment and is constantly getting infected.

The worst part is, this wasn't listed as a possible downside.

Infections weren't listed as a possibility on this extremely complicated surgery
