What are you talking about? In a normal childbirth situation the cervix naturally dilates. Sometimes, the doctor might have to make a incision in the vulva/vaginal area to help the baby through, although most of the time the vagina stretches. Pelvic stretches are encouraged to help with relaxation so dilation can occur naturally.

As with menopause, the vagina does not close up, but loses its ability to lubricate itself as well as is did when fertile, and its tightness. The last thing anyone would want to do is stretch it even more with dilators!

There ae some extreme cases where the vaginal opening is small and dilation can help with sex, but it is certainly not a normal part of being a woman.
