Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh dies at 70

Conservative talk show radio host and Republican party icon Rush Limbaugh has died. He was 70 years old.

His wife Kathryn announced his passing on his radio show Wednesday, saying Limbaugh died earlier this morning.

“Rush will forever be the greatest of all time,” she said.

Limbaugh had been battling advanced lung cancer since February.

Back in October, Limbaugh provided this somber update on his show: “You know, I wake up every day and thank God that I did. I go to bed every night praying I’m gonna wake up. I don’t know how many of you do that, those of you who are not sick, those of you who are not facing something like I and countless other millions are.”

Former President Donald Trump awarded Limbaugh the Medal of Freedom during his most recent State of the Union address

This appearance only a few days after his he revealed his diagnosis on his show.

“I can’t help but feel that I’m letting everybody down with this, but the upshot is that I have been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer,” Limbaugh said in February.

He did make a huge mistake: He shouldn't have apologized.

There's taking birth control, and then there's the Sandra Fluke types of the world who want their worn and torn gashes subsidized by the government because they want "free" tax payer-funded crap because they have sex.

If that's not a whore, then I don't know what is. If Sandra Fluke types want to sleep around, then they should pay for that crap themselves.

Dude was a douche but I don't feel up to grave dancing because he could sometimes be entertaining. I'm honestly surprised he managed to live this long, pretty sure the only reason he did was pure spite.

Admitably it's tame compared to what other idiots on twitter have been saying but still, wtf does the green new deal have to do with this? Did rush point out why it's a terrible idea to shut down airlines, remodel infrastructure some of it centuries old and so vast it'd be nigh impossible to alter to be up to the insanely draconian polices the deal wants? or did he point out how it's a wish list for siezing more control over people's lives and forcing them to be good complacent little drones?

All of the rage filled posts about her during the vice presidential debate were even funnier, every little thing she did was worthy of anger. The most she'll ever do as vice president is do those dumb little PR meme videos Biden did with Obama for things like the first lady's "Let's Move" campaign. The focus now is on boomer man, the actual president.

Also that clip never ceases to make me laugh, and it's ironic as it came at the end of Rush's lifelong journey of polarizing the country with his partisan lies and demagoguery. That guy right there is the summation of 50 years of partisan nonsense like what Rush spewed being pumped into the brains of disenfranchised uneducated boomers on a constant stream.

People in Tumblr were celebrating Joseph Nicolosi's death. Context: he was a leader of Reparative Therapy, which involved using real talk therapy in healing the wounds of homosexual people. Parent-child reconciliation was a big element.

Holy shit -- was it just me, or did Rush did look like he was trying not to laugh? Either that or "Man, I need a beer"?

Rush's comments about Fluke weren't just hateful, they were downright ignorant. He basically seemed to think you had to take a pill every time you had sex. That was seriously cringey.

Don't know on that one. I think "decency" can be taken to the point at which it moves away from being a virtue. Kinda like how all the western superheroes have a bizarre obsession with not killing to the point at which it leads innocent people into being killed. To me, if you know virtuous actions are going to lead to an amoral outcome, they cease to be virtuous actions.
