Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I don't think that cancelling 50k of student debt is insane. The fact that its super duper extra special debt is fucking retarded and the fact that you can't bankrupt it was done is idiotic. Especially private student loans. With the Feds though, you're in for life. Its just that he doesn't care enough to fight for it, because the useful idiots were, again, useful. They served their purpose. It doesn't matter if he loses the midterms or anything like that. They could not afford 8 years of a conservative populist. Though Trump's retardation got the better of him.

We just don't have any strong enough populists right now, and if we did they'd get shot.

A lot of people got involved in politics for the first time because of Trump on both sides, and then both sides get fucking shocked when a President doesn't bother what he promises to do. Like if you even take a side-ways look at Biden's political career, you'll see he was never ever in favor of progressive policies. Hiring women and deranged troons is as much as you'll get from him, and both will do what the fuck their old white male superiors say.

How many times do minimum wage hikes need to result in people getting their hours cut or fired before maybe it's seen as a bad idea?

Rhetorical of course, the answer is never. That's my biggest problem with the left; you can explain all this shit to them and they will just accuse you of hating the poor or something, then when it happens they will act like nobody could have seen it coming.
