So back on Monday, some /s4s/ poster was shocked that 4chan might be banned in Korea.

Not sure if North or South, though looking at the posts, it might be North.

If it's really true that leftists are in charge of 4chan now (really?) then this site is definitely better. Null is an odd man at the best of times but he's definitely not going to troon out.

Not according to Vice and other journos where there's some evil shitlord mod who goes by "RapeApe" who is in charge of 4chan since Gookmoot just uses it for a paycheck/networking with glowies/whatever that shady Jap is up to. I'd be inclined to believe them since /pol/ still exists, as garbage as it's been the past 5 years, and you can talk about how much you hate niggers and how the Jews caused all your problems on other boards and only sometimes eat a ban for racism or some other arbitrary interpretation of the rules..

So it seems likely that for now the infiltration of SJW jannies and mods is under control, but the mods are too lazy to purge them because they're a bunch of lazy bastards who do it for free and don't give two shits about anything other than powertripping on poor unsuspecting anons. 4chan is probably one of the worst sites for free speech on the internet because unlike your typical SJW-controlled forum or something like Twitter, you have no idea if your post will offend a jannie/mod and they'll decided to apply some interpretation of the rules to you. At least if I'm on ResetEra or something I know I can't say "nigger" but on 4chan you can say "nigger" in a thread full of people saying it but you're the only one who's banned.

Despite his edgy name he's a fairly moderate dude. He isn't one of the wave of SJWs though. He has been there a long time. If anything he's one of the actual OG keeping the site from going full retard.

It's no big deal, it's just annoying to have to switch to a throwaway IP address before you do some bannable shit instead of just gambling on it because you previously never had to worry, you'd get banned maybe once every couple years unless you were doing shit like organizing raids or doxing people.

This site is pretty clear on bannable content. If you behave like you deserve your own thread on here you're probably gone.

iirc, it was meant to be the home for sports that weren't getting enough traction on /sp/ and to send wrestling fans there...a couple of problems with this.
  1. The mods didn't enforce the move, meaning that pro wrestling fans kept posting in /sp/ out of habit for a while in the /wwe/ general. If I'm not mistaken the only indication that wrestling now belonged on /asp/ was a post on /q/, so if you didn't get the memo, you didn't know. For the most part, by the time the screencap got around, a lot of pro wrestling anons stayed on /sp/ for a while.
  2. This delay led to /asp/'s early days, where it was a veeeeeery slow and inactive board.
  3. At some point, months after the board was launched, the mods stopped watching anime and finally forced wrestling out of /sp/ into /asp/.
The shitposters from the WWE general quickly realized that people didn't report shit and the mods/jannies weren't very active, so /asp/ became a total wrestling shitposters' haven. This is why /asp/ had such shitposting memes like have sex, dilate, SEETHING, lose weight, seek sunlight, GET A CLUE, etc.

It was a failed experiment. There definitely is some pro wrestling fandom on 4chan, and I don't mind it having its own board*, but /asp/ wasn't intended to simply be the wrestling board. It should have been scrapped ages ago.

* - because 420chan's /wooo/ is the alternative and it mostly sucks these days.

It should work. Most posts are made by a small group of people who are super autistic. Instead of a rotation of 6 boards they will have a rotation of 7 and spam all of them with their 4chan pass.

How is 4chan doing growth wise now? Content looks more botted than ever. You can tell what time of day different mods are on by what you get banned for (ever been banned for not giving positive feedback in a thread about art? I have). There can't be many people left on there when Discord servers are so easy to set up and you can post your tranny cocks and evangelion OCs on there in peace.
