Come on now. The people you're beholden to, their previous behavior in business dealings, and the rate at which they raise prices is not something you ever want LESS information about.
Kelly is a stupid fat slob and I would not have sex with her, but the idea that less information is good- or that landlords are necessarily fair and reasonable people who only raise rent to keep up with the market & the needs of the property- is a fantasy. I have moved nearly 20 times & would be very glad to know if a landlord has jacked up the rent by a full 25% (or not) as it would help me better understand local price trends, what kind of expectations to have regarding upkeep, & possible future rent hikes when lease renewal rolls around. Don't let the context of this give you brain worms.

Yeah, but you want that information BEFORE you sign a lease. After you have that lease, there is fuck all you can do about it. What judge is going to say you don't have to pay that much because a landlord was greedy and raised the rate too much?
If you want to help people, post the information online where people can search the history of rent increases. This allows consumers to make informed choices. A card like this helps no one and instead just rubs salt into the wound. The person may have thought they got a good deal and you've just told them that were a massive sucker and they are going to hate their new place because of it. Unless you've got a solution, what is the point of telling people locked into a lease that they've been overcharged?

In some areas where a tenant has rent control, the landlord is limited by law as to what increase is allowed for a sitting tenant. The only way to get more money is to increase the rent for a new tenant & if a tenant who has just left had been in the unit some years, you can bet the rent they paid wasn't close to what current rents are for that size & age of place & location, A landlord would be stupid not to increase the rent for a new tenant to reflect current market conditions.
If the asked for rent is too much compared to similar units, the place stays empty.

Kelly is burned out from "planning meals" when she's a stay-at-home mom/homemaker (lol), but she somehow has time to waste hours a day being a bitch on social media. Her kids would probably happily eat regular fare like fish sticks, chicken nuggets, tacos, grilled cheese, and spaghetti, and I doubt Jerry has a sophisticated palate, either. Everything simple has to be so hard just to feed her martyr complex. There's something about Kelly that makes people have knee jerk repulsion to harmless ideas. She could say "it's polite to greet coworkers with a friendly hello" and someone in this thread would clutch their pearls, aghast at the SJW wokescoldery of it all.

It's not necessarily the value of the idea but more that you feel that her underlying motives are never pure. She wasn't sharing that scheme because she thought it was a good idea - she was sharing it in order to show off how anticapitalist she was, which she sees as a virtue. It signals she's looking out for the little guy by retweeting stuff without comment, but not actually engaging with it further - not even crafting her own post or additional comment on the matter. Just click the reblog button and everyone will know she's a good person - an ally. The same goes for all her instagram reposting of HAES, POC stuff etc. Everything gets tainted by association because I always get the impression she is just going through the motions in order to lecture people about how bad/evil/ignorant they are - while she gives herself the benefit of the doubt that even if she has similar "problematic" aspects to her personality/life situation, she is still a good person who deserves love/care etc and if people call her out then they are bullies.

Remember when “diet culture” meant things that emphasize always losing weight, being thin or restricting? Now it extends to products that contain any nutritional value at all.
This is the logical end of HAES. Proponents complain they can’t lose weight because it’s scientifically impossible and their bodies naturally want to be obese and wanting to lose weight is fatphobic.
So then you reply, “good then, don’t eat less! Why not also enjoy these nutrient-rich foods like fruit and veg and lean meats and nuts and such?”
And HAES people are forced to come up with a reason they can’t do that either, thus “healthism” is born. How dare you tell me that being healthy is a good thing, and eating healthy foods that will benefit my body just makes sense! HOW DARE!! These frosted cakes are JUST as “nourishing” as a nice strip of grilled salmon and a side of mixed grilled veg! No bad foods!
But the real reason to both issues is they emotionally overeat on rubbish processed sugary fatty foods and they don’t want to give them up and let their tastebuds reset to actually find normal food enjoyable.
