Phil never grasps that the average person making $10,000 a month isn't begging for money every day or acting like he'll starve if he doesn't make $200 that day. Even the guy earning half of what Phil makes in a year isn't walking around with a tin cup holding an "emergency fundraiser" to pay their bills.

Of course if Phil had any self-awareness, he wouldn't be a lolcow in the first place, just the basic sexless gin-soaked blob he is now. His lack of self-awareness and anger at anyone who points facts out to him (and being so good at lying) are what has made him so "special".

One thing he is self-aware of is that he depends on drama to survive. He doesn't see it as a problem that he has to constantly guilt-trip, incite tribalism, and demean himself because it's the best and easiest way to get his dopamine fix. It's impossible that he wouldn't notice the rise of his viewership during moments like the Vest Streak dying, his recent ban from Twitch, or when he talks about the risk of losing his house. Though, it's both his viewers and detractors that are dumb enough to fall for these cries for attention.
A streamer with their dignity intact wouldn't be satisfied with their more "prominent" fans giving them money to "own the haters" because that has nothing to do with the actual content of the stream. But Phil doesn't care why people gives him money as long as they give it to him, so he throws on vests and demands people pay him for it.

What surprised me the most about last night's stream was seeing a genuinely laggy af match. Usually people like DSP and LTG say it's laggy when it's not, but that one match against that Guile player was horrifically laggy. He loses points for saying that 2 or 3 other matches were laggy when they weren't. I feel that Phil always does that, seems like he's making progress towards genuinely becoming better and more honest only to for some reason spazz out utterly and revert fully to his previous state. King of Bait-and-Switch.

Have you lifted weights? Well, Phil has lifted more and was absolutely ripped, to the point that he had to stop because it was unhealthy.

Did you use to read books? Well, Phil has read more and better books than you have, to the point that he stopped reading books because he felt like he was too wise.

It's really bizarre how Phil feels the need to always one-up everyone who has ever done anything interesting in their lives. Truly the mark of a narcissistic hermit.
