I want to warn you guys that mild fear of the vaccines is not warranted. Total dread and terror is a much more appropriate response.
I am in an assisted living after a car accident. Most of the residents here are in the age range of 40-90, and have other physical issues.
All but me and one other refused the vaccine. I was pressured at least 5x by the head of nursing here, and the director of the facility as well.
I was told, "It is harmless, and the sooner we all take this the sooner the building can open back up". (This facility has been a soft prison since the initial lock-down)
The 2nd dose of the Moderna vaccine was given yesterday at 11am. My neighbor across the hall was rushed to the ER, she was complaining of "hurting and soreness" over her entire body.
Two doors down lived the sweetest woman, who was only in her early 60's, who complained of arm pain at the injection site. She was always a bit off mentally but last night more so than ever. She was unable to put her drink in the arm rest and was dropping everything.
I sat with her last night and talked with her. She was making less sense than normal but not to an extreme degree. This morning I was supposed to watch TV with her when I woke up.
I heard the nurse yelling and trying to wake her for her medicine this morning at 6am. They found her body and her lips where blue and her skin as well. She was dead and had been for several hours.
Out of 6 neighbors, one was rushed to the ER and the other passed away less then 12 hours after the 2nd dose of this wonderful vaccine.
This is rushed technology and they will only be able to hide just how poor it is for so long.
I urge everyone here, avoid this vaccine at all costs. I was mildly skeptical before and after losing a friend to the vaccine (while all four family members who caught Covid survived with very little side effects) it is not worth the risk.
I think the best option is to join a religion that doesn't allow the use of vaccines, or suddenly develop an allergy. I would rather receive an injection of Covid than this vaccine.
Stay safe guys, this thread has been what has allowed me to use non-google browsers to find information that doesn't follow "The Science". It has made me very skeptical of the narrative being pushed upon us. A real pandemic does not need PR to know it is going on.

I figured this would be the case when I heard of the side effects. An older body cannot handle the "robust immune response" triggered by this vaccine. It absolutely makes many people very ill immediately after taking it, and not in a way we've seen from other vaccines. Doomers be like "Well the more people take the vaccine, the less hesitant others will be" but no, its the other way around this time.

When everyone at my fiancee's work got sick after their second dose, they began confiding in him that they were worried they made a bad choice.

Edit: Let me put it to you this way. When it came to BLM and most election news last year, I had to come to Kiwi Farms to get it (at least get links to stories I would have never heard about.) Kiwi Farms is a more reliable source of information than CNN. That's how bad it is now.

I think that's due to infighting over whether or not to let up the lockdowns or keep them going.

One of the scariest parts of this entire year was people not visiting their families because the government told them too.

Like it's one thing if you take precautions. Go wear a mask to see grandma and stay six feet away the whole time. Fine.

But I still have people bitching to this day that "people haven't seen their families in eleven months." THAT'S ON YOU! It's different if your family is in a different state or something. But if you won't visit your own family in your own city, especially during Thanksgiving and/or Christmas, just because the COVID might get you, then I don't know what to say.

It's amazing the amount of brainwashing that's been done to not only get people to avoid their own families but TURN on their own families. How many people did we see report their own relatives to the police because "they weren't taking COVID seriously"? It's both sad and scary how fast the MSM/gov't propaganda got people to turn on their own kin. Then convinced them that it's a political issue. Family not taking COVID seriously? That's because your family is a pro-Trump, anti-Science, conspiracy theory Q-Anon lunatic. There is no other explanation for why people aren't pissing their pants over the deadliest pandemic of all time.

TL;DR - George Hill said he wasn't going to let anyone say he can't see his family because he's a grown fucking man, and the author of the article called Hill completely out of touch.

George sounds completely out of touch. Does he not realize many people have gone 10 months without seeing their family? They’ve done it not because of a game, but in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

That's pretty much when I flipped.

Same reason why I don't care about the Capitol Speds. All summer, through burning buildings and $2 billion of property damage, we heard that being against violent protests and burning/looting made you racist. But a bunch of speds with no weapons wandered around the Capitol building for a couple hours and all of a sudden every single conservative in the country was trying to destroy this country personally and had "no right" to disavow the stupidity of Baked Alaska's dumbass streaming shitty videos.

Thanks family for the positive replies and stickers! I was actually a bit scared to post, but emotion this morning got the best of me. I am glad I did!
This is my 2nd favorite thread (Lucas Werner is my absolute favorite cow).
What does it say about society when a thread on the farms (it is a needed and awesome thread) provides better resources and information then mainstream media.
I felt like I owed it to you guys to share my experiences with the vaccines being distributed here.
To be fair, I have only heard about half the residents here having flu like symptoms (aside from the death and hospitalization of course).
The question remains, is this vaccine which experts are estimating to be only effective for 3 to 5 months worth the possible health risks and later complications? To me this risk is the very definition of insanity. I would, like a lot of you, rather get an injection of Covid than an untested vaccine with unknown long-term side effects.
Thanks for the kind words, I was not sure what to expect on the farms. This thread is great and has helped me feel like I am not the last sane man on a dying clown planet.

• Monterey County getting close to Red Tier

By almost every measure, the coronavirus epidemic, which seemed to be out of control just six weeks ago, has declined to the point where not only will local elementary schools be resuming in-classroom instruction a few weeks, but youth and recreational sports, indoor dining, museums, gyms, movie theaters and other sectors of the economy may also be allowed to reopen soon.(And monkeys might fly out of my ass. - JS)

For that to happen, Monterey County has to get its 7-day average of new cases per day per 100,000 population to no more than 7.0, enabling it to move to the Red Tier from its current Purple Tier status, where it has been stuck since Aug. 28. For youth and recreational sports, the required average case rate is 14.0 — and the latest data show that the county is getting pretty close to both milestones.(Not to worry - they'll move the goalposts again. - JS)

This morning, the health department said 543 new coronavirus cases were confirmed among county residents this week — an average of 17.1 per day per 100,000 residents. For the week that ended Jan. 20, there were 2,392 cases, or an average of 74.8 per 100,000 residents. Unless something unexpected arises to reverse that sharply downward trend, the county should be at 7.0 or lower within a couple of weeks.

Officially, the California Department of Public Health says Monterey County's tier status score is 24.0 — but the CDPH number runs about 10 days behind reality, whereas the 17.0 number reported here is up to the minute.

The distribution of this week's 543 new cases followed the usual pattern: There were 379 cases in Salinas and the Salinas Valley, with 107 cases on the Monterey Peninsula, including 45 in Seaside, 26 in Marina, 23 in Monterey, four in Carmel area (93923), two apiece in Big Sur, Carmel-by-the-Sea and Pacific Grove, with single cases in Pebble Beach and Carmel Valley. COUNTY VACCINATION RATE STILL TRAILS STATE, NATION

Because its allocation of vaccine trails other jurisdictions, Monterey County's inoculation rate still isn't where it should be. According to CDPH data, the county has now administered 56,174 doses of the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, or about 13,000 per 100,000 residents. But the CDC says more than 18,000 doses have been administered per 100,000 Californians, while the nationwide figure is 18,400 per 100,000 Americans.

Despite the shortage of vaccine to work with, the effort to get Monterey County residents vaccinated continues on many fronts. Yesterday, CHOMP/Montage Health, which earlier announced it had the capacity to give 7,500 coronavirus vaccine injections per week if it could only get the material, said it had administered a total of 14,000 doses since it received its first allocation Dec. 17. And yesterday, Dr. Steven Packer, president/CEO of Montage Health, stepped in to help with the vaccination effort.
