Also, while adept at keeping itself level on terrain, it couldn't cope with people just running up and kicking it over. At least in the alpha-build. They later got good enough that just a simple kick wouldn't topple it. (They had a guy come up and give it a, move-a-chair-with-your-leg kind of half-hearted kick) But, I'll bet it still couldn't survive a determined shove or stiff arm without going down....much less being rammed by a truck. One other thing I recall when first seeing videos of Boston Dynamic's "Angry Dog" robot mule is that it was LOUD. I imagine in the field, if you're infantrymen walking through hills or mountains with that noisy ass thing along you side, it's basically shouting "hey, come ambush us!"
If it COULD, they'd show it doing so. First rule of those "look at how advanced it is, it can do THIS!" videos is to pay close attention to when they stop filming.
If they show it surviving pistol-caliber ammo, that's a tell it can't survive rifle-caliber, or they'd show it since everything LESSER would obviously count too.
If it can climb a 30 degree slope, assume a 45 degree slope will defeat it.
If they show it fording knee-high water, assume it can't handle waist-high or deeper. If they show it crossing the calm duck pond out back of the company offices on a sunny day, assume it can't handle river rapids or choppy surf during a storm.
if they show it being deployed from a C-130, assume no lighter aircraft can carry it.... etc.
