I started downloading the channel logs 20 minutes ago and they're still not finished. After this is done I also have to export them. I only want the logs from #site67, but I have to do it this way because it only lets me download them by network.

Good luck sorting through these if I ever find a way to upload all of them. Once I have everything I'll start uploading bits and pieces that I think are valuable.

oh and #rogetbox was my private channel for many years and I assume some stuff will be in there but it was more of a social club than anything else. I maintained it because it allowed me to be an unofficial curator of potential staff.

I know for certain that I spoke openly about the Yurt in PMs with its members so that might be a good second stop but we’ll get there in due time.

Mibbit itself will archive logs if you ask it to. I did when I was 16 and didn’t ever turn it off so it’s everything I ever said or saw when I used Mibbit over the past ten years.

I started with the US network because it had the most content, but there's millions of lines in there from time periods spanning a decade, in dozens of individual channels. I think Mibbit might have broken trying to process all of that before it even spat out a folder for me to download.

Yeah it’s something you have to explicitly turn on, and everyone assumes Mibbit is junk and don’t explore its features. I’m the only person I ever knew who used Mibbit like this.

I’ll give my honest thoughts on this - it seems like Harmony and maybe a few other specific people were in fact planning some sort of takeover of staff. I have a gut feeling that the Yurt server *as a whole* was not in on the plan and most of the staff members in it were just there for fun. Some people may be feeling rightfully confused over the next few days.

Edit: Just to be clear, the only DMs from Harmony’s post that are actually damning in my eyes are the ones with Rounder and Kaktus. The rest feel pretty innocent and don’t appear to represent people with malicious intent. So her story adds up in a way, but her view of the server as a whole seems a bit inaccurate.

We all had best intentions but everyone knowingly lied to staff to “get stuff done” it was a social club too but we all knew that we were in a conspiracy, that’s why we had a code of silence to protect it.

Being corrupt can be doing good things from a bad position, in this case being unaccountable and invisible.
