It's also likely they didn't know about all of Kei's work. I mean, Cover staff didn't know to not say Taiwan despite working with Bilibili as long as it did. Should've known does not mean Cover knows. Also, it's even creepier if he's an acquaintance of Marine's imo. I think asking someone to clean up their image when something goes public is fine, Cover has enough problems as it is and they may also be thinking what do Westerners not want to see. There's a couple angles to all of this, but I think at the core he's just a sperg gachikoi. Like there's very few situations that would look bad on Cover and no situations that warrant blowing up like this. Calling him an autistic creep's not unfair if he's really acting like it.

I also think it's somewhat unreasonable to label the guy as a "gachikoi creep" when a big reason for him even initially getting the project is because him and Marine were acquaintances of sorts. I believe the doujin the super chat was referring to was actually released two months ago, so he made and released it while being under Cover's employment and the company didn't seem to raise a fuss then.

Considering who the guy is, there's a big chance of truth for what he said.
However...
It also should be notes that his company licensed Mizuryu'd works for Fakku and such. Got to keep on his good side to keep that contract

Yeah I'm not saying he 100% is or isn't a creep (and its looking more and more like he is) but jumping straight to that accusation isn't a good habit to get into.

A lot of this shit seems to have wrapped up as fast as it started. Good, maybe we get to avoid a big drama for a month. 2020 was a trainwreck that I don't wanna repeat where we have some big drama every month.

I call it bullshit that Cover didn't know not to say Taiwan in front of the chinks. That's like basic knowledge for anyone that lives near China, much less to set shop there. Someone told me that some of the girls actually already said Taiwan before the Coco incident. It only glt big because its Coco.
Also, its almost an impossibility for Cover not to know about all of Mizuryu's works. The guy is only known for his hentai. He basically worked on nothing but hentai or sex-related works

I'm not saying I believe it myself, simply stating it's possible by virtue of their history of incompetence. The rest of my argument is that he's still a sperg gachikoi from everything that's seemed to come out. I also don't think Cover's too out of line to ask him to clean up some image related matters, I think the dude should've quit and left it at that if he cared so much.

No, Pochi also worked on mainstream non-hentai works. Even her most famous hentai series got made into a mainstream SFW manga
On Mizuryu, all of his works are hentai

Bad wording, like i was trying to say is that making Porn is not a bannable offense, the rules in japan stablish that you can make porn without permission as long as you put the disclaimers and dont make to much money with it, that is how things like Comiket prosper, aka it was not the porn but probably Cover making weird demands

This is make some big question like someone in here said to us, why Cover hire him? There must be reason.
Probably false but maybe he approach Cover or have some insider. For just drawing hentai all day long it can cause very long term wall of creativity, like (probably wrong thou) he can't drawing something not r18 because everyday he just draw hentai.

It's known that Cover has a system where any interested parties who wanted to work on their project to ask/apply to them. The Holo Alt trailer was practically made because on of the animator joked with Yagoo about making a Hololive anime. Same thing with their songs. The musicians approach them first instead of the other way around

Could it possibly be that he was required to take them down to begin with, but kept delaying it over and over again until Cover started threatening to enforce the agreement and then he got all ass mad about it? Seems like another plausible reason that still goes by what this guy said of it being a little of both scenarios. Now instead, he’s deleting them in some sort of autistic protest.

The only hole in that is why he would sign up and agree with those conditions if he was gonna get butt hurt over it unless he thought Cover would warm up to him/forget about it after months go by.

My two cents on this whole issue based on what people have said on this thread. I believe it is definitely possible that Cover asked Kei to take down the R18 stuff, but there might be a reason why they did that abruptly. In Japan people don't care if an artist was making R18 content or not as long as their artstyle was good or if they could come up with good plot. This is why a lot of artists making hentai doujin are picked up by publishers to make regular mainstream SFW manga.
But I don't think the mainstream western audience has the same viewpoint as weird as it sounds. They would definitely have a meltdown if Cover was employing 'porn' artists. Jsut remember the whole loli drama from a few months ago. Cover wouldn't have had to deal with this when the Alternative project was being thought of since they didn't have such a huge Western audience. Now though ever since HoloEN's boom and the JP girls gaining interest abroad Cover might simply not want to deal with another Brittany Venti.
Whether Cover did the right thing, I don't know. Or even which side it was that initiated this breakdown. However going on a twitter meltdown as a result and stirring up shit is just highly unprofessional of him.

The difference is that Pochi nowadays is perfectly content to sticking to her OCs, at most just including cameos of the Vtubers she designed in a fashion magazine her favorite oneshota couple is reading. I don't read Kei's stuff, but having full-blown doujins of Hololive girls would inevitably be a legal sticking point after officially working for Cover even if nobody wanted it to come to this. Which only makes it weirder since this went on for 6 months with neither parties raising a fuss about it before.

In that case, it could be that Cover only now realized that he had drawn Hololive doujins and requested that he either remove them or be dropped from the Alternative project, and he opted to go scorched earth by deleting everything instead. The anger would be kind of understandable since his manga might have been almost completed by that point and now it was potentially all for nothing, but I would have taken the loss and just did as asked. It's not even what he's most famous for anyway.

Looks like the chinks antis are still trying to spin things up and making the situation more blaming on the Cover side
Cosidering that Cover lose more from this incident, I can see they support the guy just as an opportunity to attack Cover
