I might be late, but what's the significance of it being a virus rather than flu? This sounds like it should be a big thing, but I'm too retarded to understand.

Cheers.

The flu is a type of virus. Also, flu was significantly down this past winter so something tells me that some of the "covid" cases since october were misdiagnosed.

Covid is a coronavirus similar to what we know as the common cold (rhinovirus) and I'm sure if we just allowed the damn lab experiment to run it's course instead of being imprisoned this thing would have turned into yet another minor illness that makes you sick for about a week and can be treated OTC.

Flu is down because most people are wearing masks and washing their hands more while trying to social distance this is very effective against the flu since its less transmissible compared to covid. People who feel sick are staying home and recovering, getting diagnosed for the flu is not a top priority at the moment.

I might care more if they weren't blatantly saying that if someone dies of cancer but tests positive for COVID, then that counts as a COVID death.

I still to this day think that the U.S. is the only country dumb enough to INFLATE their numbers (except Cuomo) where every other country is downplaying numbers.

Not sure about spreading it through the air but it makes sense to me that if you touch something with the germs on it, then touch something without germs, both things now have germs. I can't remember how long Covid lasts on surfaces. Wash yer hands once in a while I guess.

It mainly spreads through the air indoors. Very little evidence of fomite transmission.

The other day, I saw someone wearing a mask that said "I Can't Breathe". I have a hunch that people like that don't have self-awareness.

Also, where does the term "Branch Covidian" come from? I know it's because covid is a religion at this point, but who were the original Branch Whatevers? I'm ignorant of this sort of history. Thanks.

Update II (I hope these posts are not a "power level" or "TMI")
I found out more about the woman who passed and other reactions with residents around the facility.
This is enraging because the woman who died had passed out within 15 mins of receiving the injection. This was witnessed by nurses who were watching residents for 15 mins after receiving the shot for possible reactions. Instead of calling an ambulance or sending her to the ER she was placed into a wheelchair and pushed to her room.
I hope her family demands an investigation of some type, because knowing that this death could have possibly been averted is disheartening.
Another resident today is considering going to the hospital because she is still suffering after effects from the 2nd dose.
Finally, another friend had a temperature of 102.9 (which I believe is close to a damaging temperature) for about 12 hours before it fell to 98. He claims to feel fine now, so that is a relief.
I hope this information is informative as I am not trying to pollute this fine thread. I think it is frightening that these types of side effects were expected and serious symptoms were ignored. I truly believe that these nurses believed the "experts" who claimed these vaccines were totally safe. This led to them ignoring initially very serious symptoms that normally would have been cause for alarm.

Aw shit fuck the vaccine! Give me Corona.

Was about to reply, but yeah. It's well worth the time to learn about those events, not that it really has anything to do with the coof (the "Branch Covidian" moniker is just pointing out the cultish behavior of the doomers), but because of the consequences of the whole debacle, the Oklahoma City bombing certainly not the least of these. David Koresh was not a good man, but the ATF and FBI fucked up spectacularly in how they handled the situation. In the after math of Ruby Ridge, Waco, and the OKC bombing, the FBI became somewhat more reluctant to go in guns blazing, part of the reason behind why they didn't go in and kill the Bundys in Oregon a few years ago.

Still wouldn't trust a glowie farther than I could throw him.

I vote "Not TMI" because it's a first-hand account that's relevant to the thread subject and anonymized well enough that we have no way to identify you other than "Some dude in a care home",

So masks and social distancing are effective for preventing the spread of tbe flu, but not COVID?

Less so with SARS-CoV-2 for sure, it's easier to transmit than most "flu", something that's not always actual Influenza.

Yeah, something tells me that they're calling flu cases COVID. That, or social distancing and enforcing people to act like germaphobe OCD speds is ineffective.
