Super Smash Bros.

>replace windy hill with city escape just for level variety without the checkerboard stuff
Hard disagree because I can see them making it another shitty 'tourism' stage like Northern Crater. I'd love a less represented stage like Casino Night or Oil Ocean, but I'd settle for something more popular like Chemical Planet or Studiopolis.

Something like the level in Sonic Adventure where he runs down the side of a building

Sky Sanctuary would be neat too, sakurai would throw in that particular metal sonic as a boss

And just to clarify what we mean by 'tourist stage', It's become more common in the game for stages in smash to just fly around to different locations from the original level. Delfino Plaza was the first one that comes to mind, but then they started adding more that just felt bland and almost like they just imported them from the original game. Mario Circuit, Northern Crater, Wuhu Island are boring as all hell.

The stages were just as big a reason I enjoyed the game. I'm not a competitive fag, but I enjoy it when the stage is static but there's enough going on for things to get wacky. Pokemon Stadium is still my favorite stage in the game, and it kills me when pro fags turn on stage hazards and ruins it.

I would but I am a heterosexual that prefers legal adults and so I don't play fighting games.
But competitive Smash is the one with pedos

I think there's room for both, fuck my favorite stage in the game is probably New Pork City (perfect size for 8 player smash by the by) but traveling stages don't bother me too much in moderation Northern Crater is fine as well as the Fzero one, it needs that kinetic energy to not end up like Skyloft.
Also with City Escape I was trying to come off with a stage that better represents modern sonic in some way since it kinda feels like the games are afraid of going into that for his stuff other than music and shadow. Maybe Planet Wisp would be better fit without making it bland?

Hidden Palace with the Super Emeralds in the background would be the best stage IMO

Serious question, did they dumb down the difficulty in classic mode at some point? I haven't played the game in maybe a year or a year and a half, just jumped on cause I was bored and thinking about it and got through classic mode on the highest starting intensity and only died once when I got to Giga Bowser at the end.

Just wondering if I got extremely lucky or if playing online FPS has made my reflexes better or something.

I think you just got better at the game. For me, the journey up until the boss is the easy part of classic mode.

Honestly, Byleth is the biggest reason why people are complaining about Pyra/Mythra.

One of the biggest complaints about Byleth was that everybody thought the Fire Emblem rep stole the spot from Xenoblade. Obviously, that is not the case, but Fire Emblem is very over represented in Smash smash. If the LoZ franchise was given the same treatment as the Fire Emblem franchise, there would be 6 - 8 Links in the game.

Also, Byleth pushed people against anime sword fighters. Sephiroth was well received in smash and he is an anime sword fighter, but people were legit wanting him in Smash due to his importance in FF, and he has a lot of magic to mix up his moveset, so people gave him a pass. But the resentment against sword fighters wasn't removed, just repressed for Seph.
Yes, I do agree with the idea that Byleth is the biggest reason people complain about Pyra and Mythra. Based on the latest news I read recently and from the short gameplay shown, Pyra and Mythra act as one character, allowing players to switch between them at will. Based on the new data, Pyra and Mythraс Xenoblade will join SSBU in March, so Masahiro Sakurai has a chance to elaborate on him ahead of his release.
