Technically as long as they own the game officially, the use of an emulator is entirely legal. I believe some in Hololive have used them in the past before (before they hit it big though). I mean Nintendo has used unofficial emulators in their own hardware.

Nintendo nor any of those companies use those emulations we find in the internet. They built their own emulation devices.

I don't know that I'm on-board with the assessment that the problem with AZKi's new look is that it's such a departure from her existing characterization.

Someone else in this thread earlier mentioned that her first and second outfits were also pretty distinct from one another so it's not exactly unusual for a new outfit of hers to be a departure.

My first assessment here while maybe not completely accurate when it comes to details, still is worth thinking about. At first glance I genuinely thought it was just a palette swap of Sora with pink where there was blue.

It's also pointing out how weird it is to be able to think that, when Nene recently got a full character redesign, and while that design screams "idol on stage" as a motif, it is incredibly unique to Nene herself.

Shame on him for not doing market research on how much Holo Alt would blow up.

I'll give him credit, his art's great. As for Cover? At worst they asked something of him he was unwilling to do, nothing possible ever would warrant him ranting on Twitter over ranting in a court case filing.

As for AZKi's new design, I'mma still enjoy what she puts out, her talent hasn't changed. I do hope the new look is not permanent and I think I'll warm up to it in time.

You know, he could’ve just as easily waited to see how successful it was actually going to be rather than going off of honeymoon phase hype. Then when they want him to do more work if it’s as successful as he thought then he could negotiate a higher price with actual leverage.

Like seriously, just do business. I know he’s a great and successful hentai artist but the normie population doesn’t know that especially in the west where a huge population of fans are. If your work is well received, then you can ask for royalties or come to some sort of agreement. If the discord leak is accurate then he blew it himself by overreacting.

I feel like people are exaggerating the fuck out of AZKi's second outfit being a departure from her first one, it's as much a departure as Rushia's pink skin, less even since her hair color isnt even different
She has the same face, aesthetic (if less pronounced) and colour scheme, you know, stuff her new outfit doesn't have at all

Also to reiterate, I really like her new outfit, I think it looks cute if not adorable and if it brings AZKi more attention to herself and her music then I am all for it, I'm just voicing my dissatisfaction with it as an "AZKi outfit"

I find the donkey ears funny and charming, it's silly and fits her in a way. Keep the donkey ears. They combo well with her kimono and the combo usually hints to comfy streams.

I didn't necessarily mean changing her outfit drastically, just updating her model a bit. Compare the pinned tweet of her Mama. To her actual Mama's avatar.

Edit: To add to this, she recently also got an update to her tracking and had a few more expressions added. This is similar to the additions Miko got when she returned from her sick leave (along with getting eye tracking implemented) and a few months after this she debuted her new revamp.

I feel like Miko's """redesign""" is a bit unfair of a comparison, even the first one she had quite a while back barely changed anything, the only thing the more recent one changed was her face and it added some polygons here and there

There's probably a more detailed answer but I always assumed her artist was just extremely passionate
