She just started and Kiara (who natively speaks a language in the same goddamn language family as English) was already trying to sabotage her with the "le full immersion" meme. Her confidence is good though. If she gets some fundamentals down and spends time fumbling through sentences with her foreign viewers, she'll progress very rapidly. From my experience, Japanese people predominately struggle with language acquisition due to being too scared to even try communicating in the first place (because they might lose face if they make a mistake or something), but Marine seems comfortable with stumbling through English sentences until she gets things right which is a good indication that, if she sticks with it, she'll attain competency very quickly.

Also Fubuki got her into watching capeshit apparently so she already has a hook for watching foreign films.

They probably don't do that much MC because of how trash holoserver is and there is not much to build anymore. Last night Miko did her own map art.

Been using Busuu for two weeks., It's actually pretty good. Much better than Doulingo

I heard about it, in general I think it's better to use specialized sites for shit languages like Japanese or Chinese where the writing system is usually the hardest part of it

Speaking about Minecraft, Choco streamed yesterday and she wanted to build a new house because she really wants to live near TTT. This woman's obsession with grinding. I swear if there is an Enderman farm in main server End alongside enchanting table/storage, I bet she wants to make another house there. Hell, she would also make one in Nether if someone were to make a Gold XP farm.

How long until she discovers that she can get lapis by trading with cleric villagers instead of digging?

Oh and near end of the stream, she also tweeted that she wants blueprint for her new(cute and stylish) house on the mountain near TTT. So expect another MC stream from her when she chooses a design she likes.

Trash server is trash. Pretty sure that is the reason why Pekora's latest invention, Burst Fire Arrow Cannon is not working as intended.

And disagree on the build part. There are still plenty of things that can be build if they aren't restricting themselves to creative build(some QoL improvements like simple redstone builds, hands free minecart station, actually securing their Nether base, breach through Nether ceiling) but it's either they aren't interested in those things or there isn't a large tutorial community on the JP side.

Also some of them kinda have abandoned their projects(Pekora's Trade shop is not finished, at least the interior side and her Nether Village project looks straight up abandoned, her Gold Bunker straight up needs revamping because how rushed it is) or straight up forgotten about it(Miko's perma Enderman farm). I chalked Pekora's case as slow burnout alongside Flare(tbf, both have push out Minecraft content a lot from last year).

I like how she started to pay attention to her EOP audience out of a sudden. I'm willing to bet management forced her hand into it, because up to this point she had shown no interest on doing English, let alone dedicate whole streams to it.
Niji finally realized what Cover realized last year, overseas audiences love this shit and will throw packs of money if you give it to them.
