The entire LGBT community has always been a shitshow. Boomer gay ppl have entirely different opinions/worldviews/etc from young gay people.
Old gay people don't give a shit about all these flags, There's a reason why the rainbow flag was the default flag for non-straight relationships. It was really simple back then. Simple because it was a private thing you didn't casually say to anyone. Only in bars, restaurants, and gathering places.
I've seen a few bad things that go on in the LGBT community still. Racist views, molestation in lesbian/gay bars, teenaged gay boys getting sugar daddies and dating them, and so on... Bisexual people getting badly treated for being attracted to both genders rather than choosing just one is another stigma I've seen. BUGCHASERS. And judgemental bitches who judge you for not coming out 100% to your family if you're past the age of 30.
Keep in mind that these are things I've read in passing so take it with a grain of salt.
The current shit storm is the whole transgender thing. Seriously, the "T" in LGBT has overshadowed the other orientations..

God what makes me so sad about his art is that there's some really nice elements about it, I like the general vibe and stuff. I dont get his obsession with pre op trans men tho, I know he is ftm but I dont see the point in drawing hairy saggy tits? Anyways, I've always liked his color palettes even though they're weird bur why does everything have to be so fucking ugly...

Hey, if that person would be open to criticism and improve their art, i would definetly try to give pointers and shit. But the problem is that people either have a diva complex or they disregard any form of criticism as "haters". Or perhaps they got too coddled by art communities where criticism is like satan and therefore, it's curbed to the ground.
One thing is that your style is not everyone's cup of tea, but another is to see your art and honestly spot the flaws and take advice to improve.

The worst part about it is when you give a simple pointer for a glaring error(s) like "hey that leg is broken". They snap and go "I didn't ask for criticism". It's not a style thing nor criticism, the leg is really obviously broken like its bent the wrong way.
The error never got fixed because they couldn't swallow their own pride for something so simple
EDIT to add another one: Or when they ask for criticism and you do give pointers, but they also snap and berate you. What were they expecting, all praise?

One thing I'm wondering about now considering Stone Ocean and the possible anime is what SJW artists and the like are gonna do with Anasui. On one hand, I can see people already decrying him as a horrible creep and portray him as a stalker-rapist. On the other hand, though, people are also gonna inevitably see how he was originally in the manga and start portraying him as a trans man and that conflicts with the earlier statement cause trans characters can't be anything else than soft uwu babies.
