If he does get any kind of backpay, he's not going to use the lump sum for anything but a BrAnD nEw iPaD when he could instead use it to move out of his "toxic, abusive" home and into some cheapo government assisted housing that he could afford with his monthly disability checks as well as food stamps. You get backpay for disability regardless of its SSI or SSDI, so yes you would get it granted should you be approved during an appeal after being denied on the first go round.

I just.. I can’t.

Average costs for transportation should be around 10%-20% of your budget, with most Americans hovering around 18%
He either gets driven or uses public transport, so at most $65/mo I believe, meaning

I was basically taking his claims, breaking them down, and comparing them to what people actually have to live by. 100% of his budget is dedicated to wants. I can dead ass live of around $25 or less a week if I have to, but I took into consideration and tried to stay towards the averages. The other problem with Lou is this $50 he is claiming is for luxuries is absolute bullshit. His idea of wants and needs is the same as a 5 yr olds.
