I do feel bad for Kevin. It's easy to say he did this all to himself, he's a disgusting groomer, etc and not take any pity on him at all. It's very easy to look at it that way. This is certainly a valid viewpoint of the situation. My pity comes from my own understanding that if he were mentally healthy, he wouldn't be like this. He's a very sick dude. Another great, true story that underscores the importance of mental health is the story of Caligula, the Roman emperor. Gaius Germanicus. He was actually an excellent emperor for the first 6 months or so of his reign. No one really remembers that part. He was kind and generous, adored by the people. Then he got sick, was probably poisoned but no one knows for sure. Bedridden for weeks with a terrible fever. Cooked his noodle. When he got out of that bed he was the Caligula that became legendary and infamous for his insanity, paranoia and cruelty. He was murdered by his own body guards something like 3 years later.
