I really don't think there is a point in applying additional taxes to the ultra-wealthy when they already, transparently, don't pay taxes. Has any prominent politician in living memory suggested improved enforcement of taxes on the rich, or is it just uniformly hot air like this?

Can't say I blame Iran for rejecting an insane offer. It is the United States that broke the agreement; the United States doesn't get to march back in and make more demands.
At this point they should just bail and let Iran make whateber they want. Maybe throw in an apology and an invitation to dinner while they're at it to get this thing back on the right footing. There is no reason to still be so antagonistic toward Iran.
